Update on the official anime website of Maoyuu Maou Yuusha.

The silhouette the covered the main protagonists on the website is almost clear and can see how they look like.

I can't see it much because its not clear but it looks to me that Maou turns into a cute Maou.... and why do I see Kirito on Yuusha? his design reminds me of the guy from working who I also thought looks like Kirito.

Looks like they're using Gaiden's art style? I was hoping for Comp Ace's art style, since I think it looks the best; more detailed and cleaner. I think I enjoy Gaiden's art less than CA's and CC's versions(still good, just not as good as those two).

Is gaiden being a manga or translated? I haven't read it yet. I only read the one released by Extra and it looks like its CA? or champion ace (not sure) Though I think heard or read gaiden but I think its about the sorcerer or something.

Yeah, it's about the Sorcerer of the group. Here's a bigger picture of Gaiden's cover, but yeah, looks like they're going with it's art style, based on the look of the Hero and Demon Queen in the background:

I think I got too used to the "Kotowaru!" manga version's style, but this looks promising too. That said, there seems to be a reduction of the "useless meat" going on, which is surprising to say the least. o_o

someone mentioned that they follow the novel designs but I'm still not sure.

toi8 aka Keinojou Mizutama, is the artist for the Maoyuu Maou Yuusha novels.

Which manga? You know there are at least four manga adaptations of the novel out there.

(I'm guessing you're talking about the "Kotowaru!" version)

I'm actually somewhat glad they chose to go with the light novel design. Not only is it reminiscence of Final Fantasy Tactics in style, I'm hopeful that the choice of adapting toi8's art style will also extend to the colour style. He has a very elegant use of water-colour palette that has a very atmospheric feel to it.

While I do agree that the Comp Ace artstyle is very clean, attractive and is good for a base of anime artwork, the manga is good enough that I would enjoy it just as much if the anime is adapted differently from a visual standpoint.
