I think it got a bit better from the PPM change and the Damage/Always Hit buff on the birds, but it isn't really a serious weapon yet, at least not for Mages.
I find myself still using Maghari Chieftain's Staff, or the 245 Barb. QQ

Thing with Nibelung is that when everyone goes for a MH+OH no matter what the cost, you can just use the staff and save tons of DKP to use on other things (Dislodged Foreign Object) and increase your DPS more.
The weapon isn't as good on average as the best MH+OH because the summons are unreliable and die on encounters with constant heavy AoE. But it's not so far behind either and sometimes suprises pleasantly. |

I get where you're coming from, Jaden. But that scenario doesn't apply to all.
Raid I roll in uses SWG. And this is how I got the better of everyone. First two months: 7 different casters take the caster dagger from Marrowgar. Last week: I use my top spot on casters to take Dislodged Foreign Object Today: I win Frozen Bonespike from last spot on the list. So I now have both while everyone else is after weapon or trinket. But I get your point. There is strategy. But I've managed to do that myself. ^^

Weirdness that is World PVP on a PVE server.
Several hours ago there was a minor attack on Stormwind and several other place by bored Horde members. Three attacked Sentinal Hill. Two warriors and a rogue (I found out about the rogue later...after the knife was in my back). It took at least four of us to drive them off. A Warlock and a Rogue at first (we didn't do so well), then a Shaman and a level 58 Paladin. That worked bcause the warriors kept going for the warlock, the rogue kept sapping the horde rogue, and the Paladin and Shaman were able to heal though just about everything..or at least long enough for me to dot them up. Sure the Paladin died, but then so did I...since nothing fustrates a warlock more than not being able to fear a target. I'm not sure if we drove them off or they got bored. Only that one of their warriors wasn't very smart, since he kept attacking and attacking, even when he was outnumbered 4 to 1, even if most of us where back to pve mode...including his partner. He rezed in pvp and charged one of us if were were in pvp still...them died quickly as the other three countered him...or he attacked one of the npc's while were were all standing there (I arrived to find the rogue fighting the two warriors alone, but only the flight point guy and som guards were dead...which seemed to be upsetting all the lower levels trying to do their thing). If it was a distraction...it didn't work, since the Stormwind attack had failed already before I even got out to Westfall.

Alliance leaders are dead half the time on my server. That's how often Horde raids happen on Blackrock and how many are doing it.
I love the Mage set bonuses. Got my 4th 10.25 piece 2 days ago, the helm. Love the graphic of it as well. Now I'm a cute little gnome vampire. ^^

I think I'd have found that a lot more interesting/surprising if I hadn't read a forum post half a year ago that pretty much described it exactly as it happened in that video as a "rumor". Not the first time that happened either, I think Blizzard employees like "accidentally" leaking info, heh.

No, Hunters just roll Need on anything. Blame the Rogue.
As for tanks, Druids aren't the greatest in ICC but they're better than Death Knights. Tanking preference is now Paladin >> Warrior >> Druid > Death Knight for ICC.

As far as I'm concern, the warrior tanks seriously do abysmal dps compare to pallies and druids, especially against pallies who do like 1k more dps. |

It's basically because DK tanks macro rune strike in all of their other skills. I don't think Warriors do that bad of dps. Pallies can do a lot because the mobs are undead and all but I don't think warriors are that far behind.

Freaking idiot looting giving us hunters who don't roll Need on things we don't need giving us a bad name. I apologize on behalf of my chosen class.
Speaking of Warriors, anyone know how good a DPS specializing Warrior would be? I'd like to try a Warrior, but I hate tanking. |
