Well, what do you expect? Gon is the main character of this series, and Killua is his closest buddy. Hell, this whole anime is about Gon’s journey finding his dad.

no you are wrong the anime so far consists of five Story Arcs Only two of them Heavens Arena arc and Greed Island arc are being a Gon and Killua show so you saying i hate the whole of Hunter x Hunter is wrong



and I' think the word hate is little strong I do not enjoy the Heavens Arena arc and Greed Island arc as much as The rest of the three Arcs that do not mean I hated them

I think what you are trying to say is that Kurapica and Leorio are the older characters who balance a bit the main cast with their intelligence and... stupidity. Now there isn't much variety in the main cast as Killua has been acting like Gon. It's like when Kuwabara disappeared from YuYu Hakusho's final arc. I really missed Kuwabara yelling every five minutes or making a dumb statement.

Yeah, i understand that point of view. HXH makes it seem like the series would have 4 main characters, like Yuyu Hakusho, but in the end, it's only two, and yeah, Killua becoming more and more like Gon doesn't help.
Heck, Hisoka is more of a main character than Leorio and Kurapica, since he's been relevant to every arc so far.

Okay okay, so you don't -hate- it, but I don't see why your problem is just with two of the arcs when the entire series is about Gon (and Killua).

Episode was AMAZING! The fights, the music... just pure awesomeness. I was literally on the edge of my seat the whole time once Yunju's team caught up with them. When people said York Shin has nothing on this, I see what they mean D0=. Not that it hasn't been shown before now, but these ants are just cold-freakin'-blooded! Gon and Killua did quite well against the ant soldiers, much better than against Rammot, but then again, they weren't truly prepared for the strength of the soldiers. Congrats for Gon on completing his Sword nen; I'm guessing he'll get to the Emisson power as well at some point to really give him some versatility. Killua didn't even use his electric Nen at all, just his normal assassin skills, and still took out the chimera ant w/o too much trouble. Looks like Kite's level is quite a ways higher than the squadron leaders, assuming they are about even strength all around, but with Rammot getting Nen(same way Gon and Killua got Nen I'm assuming) we'll see how things hold up.

And... ...... ... call me a pervert, but that chest.... it's amazing (>.>).... not even gonna ask where that...stinger...came from (<.<)...

That was definitely action packed and entertaining. Killua going into assassin mode there and taking care of business fairly easily. Although he did get hit by that second stinger and good thing he's resistant to poison. If that was a legitimate attack that could have been a bigger problem. Still he definitely has the ability to take down whoever comes at him without mercy.

Gon did fine and managed to complete that scissor option, so now he's got some more variety. Once he gets the paper move completed then he'll be in good shape.

Kite is pretty damn powerful, but also it's pretty easy to see how he might get killed at some point in this arc. His ability is just too random. He has to adapt to whatever weapon randomly comes out of the slot and it may not be something suitable for who he's fighting. At the same time he is pretty strong and didn't have any problem with his opponent.

Still Rammot acquiring Nen is going to be a pain. That guy was durable in the first place and now he's going to be uncontrollable. If more of the Chimera Ants start gaining Nen then it really could become a disaster. These things are tough enough without it

I think we're at the point now where it should be asked if H x H is the greatest shounen adaptation ever. This kind of quality after 82 episodes paired with Togashi's writing put it squarely in the running.

enzo i have to agree with you this kind of quality havent been seen in any of the long running shonen jump adaptations so far, and this episode showed us where the budget of the past slow paced episodes had been puttedto, also the few pair of episodes are likely to keep showing that to us too.

I don't know if people recall those three stooges from Heaven's Arena arc who were meant to introduce the concept of Nen to the viewer. Wing mentioned that normally, people without Nen who reached the 200 floor would either end up killed or heavily mutilated. Those who survived gained the ability to use Nen as a result, called a "baptism".

This is pretty much the exact same thing. So this is the logical result of our heroes failing to kill a chimera ant.

Oh, and those wondering why that weird glittery eyed spider didn't gain Nen, he was never actually hit by Pokkle.

This arc is pretty dark.
Lots of lost lives and violence.
Looks like Gon, Killua and Kite are having their first real chimera battle.

So basically not killing Rammot is going to bite them in the arse. Those nen-powered punches actually fully awakened his own nen abilities and by what the preview shows, others won't be far behind

Great episode. That's two great action episodes in a row, which is a really good way to the get Gon and Killua (as well as my own engagement) right into the thick of it.

And is it just me or does Gon look slightly more buff now?

^ Kite's battle had to be shown. It just wouldn't work to focus only on the kids since the character we need to learn about the most right now is Kite. It's not filler, it's just different than the manga, and it's a change that makes a lot of sense.

But it is filler because we did not see it in the manga. All what we saw is Gon and Killua's fights and when they finished we see Kite with Yunjuu's dead body behind but we didn't know how it went between them.
