It was the only thing came to the mind of everyone. The sky howled as if it feel the hopelessness, lightning split the air echoing the chorus of destruction.

Moping through JSDF's last line of defense, like a child high on sugar trampled all over his toys, the creature paid little to no attention to the explosive sting delivered by them.

Two dozen tactical ballistic missile barely harmed the gargantuan abomination, spewing gallons upon gallons of viscous blue blood. It roared in response, and smashed the nearby building almost effortlessly.

The situation in the nearby military base are not much better.

"...Engage it with Stonehenge"

"But sir what about the city-"

"If we let it go, there will be many more casualties. Don't you forget it!"

".... yes, sir... wait, I'm picking a signal! It's... a Jaeger!"

"Jaeger" Incredulously the JSDF commander muttered "Do we have anything resemble operational Jaeger?"

"... Generation VI, White Envoy!"

"Those mass-manufactured rustbucket built after the last war ten years ago?" he scoffed "Alright, hold the charge on Stonehenge until I said so"

"Sir?!"

"As much as I want to admit..."

Amidst the burning city harbor, a titanic gargantuan humanoid unit dropped. It's majestic, white armor contrasted the amount of battle damage they show.

Clenched it's left hand, the unit quickly accelerate toward the direction of the monster.



"[This is Orimura]"

"[This is Gotanda]"

"[ENGAGE]"

"To fight a monster, we need another monster"

Karon tapped the remaining switch on her belt, toggling the viewing glass side to side.

[TURN ON! FULL POWER YELLOW COLLIDER!]

The rings orbiting around the idol stratos froze and flashed brightly before screaming into the sky. They grew in size and docked charged directing plates in resonating clangs and fell back down, lining up in a column to the fore of the yellow Vandam.

"Go, VANDAM DRAUPNIR!"

Kaoru leapt into the sky and the rings followed, replicating and drawing a path towards the Golem. At the peak of her trajectory, the idol rolled into a somersault and lashed out with a kick into the Particle Accelerator.

"FINAL IGNITIOOOOOOOOON!!"

Each ring buzzed with yellow thunder as the idol shrieked through, boosting her speed higher and higher. Karon gritted through the hi-G maneuver as Vandam's inertial dampeners worked to compensate. The friction from the air ignited the atmosphere around her, turning the IS unit into a roaring yellow fireball that blew through the Golem at 0.0018c. The collapse of the recoiling vacuum wake followed by the rupture of the Golem's pseudocore let out a mechanical groan that framed Karon with a blaze of glory.

The idol did a twirl and pointed to the camera.

"And that's a wrap!"

Yes, the Symphogear was starting to get to me.

Whoever built Core 109's frame wasn't very imaginative. Which was why Karon added a few touches of her own. Like singing while fighting. And calling the Yellow Collider form "Vandam Draupnir", after the Norse rings that could copy themselves endlessly. And of course screaming all her attacks.

So, with 6 colors of the rainbow, the forms of 109/Vandam is:

Yellow Collider - Vandam Draupnir
Blue Hammer - Vandam Mjolnir
Green Blader - Vandam Tyrfing
Orange Arms - Vandam Ydalir
Violet Syntho - Vandam Bragi
Red Wing - Vandam Skidbalnir

The last one is actually born from a duet between Irish and Karon. The theme?

The meeting, and power, of Two Wishes.

I believe its obvious then what the Second Shift/Ultimate form of 109/Vandam is. Even comes with a theme:

In [The Infinite Stratos], Orimura Kaoru/Idol Stratos Magi Karon is voiced by Aoi Yuki. I figured that a more squirrelly person fit the character.

Now if only I can find Eras. I need his input on the new ikaron stuff.

That said, I do believe in some merit of this idea. Maybe:

Spoiler for Aegis Package Details:

Plans to upgrade the Academy's defence came about during the Silver Gospel incident. However, as a team of Personal IS units prove capable to handling the threat, the upgrade plans were placed on hold.

Come Phantom Task's attack on the Academy during the Cannonball Fast event, the upgrade plans would enter application phase upon the possibility of increase in rogue IS attacks.

Shortly after which, the Academy would once again fall under attack from a formation of unmanned Non-IS humanoid drones capable of going toe-to-toe against an IS, including Personal units.

Faced with the possibility of such threats, the Academy rolls out the Aegis Package exclusively for the Aegis Team, a six-man security trooper team that's responsible for maintaining the safety of the Academy's students and staffs.

The Aegis Package is an Equalizer Package that's installed into the Aegis Team's Raphael Revive units, consisting of a whole new set of equipment at their disposal.

The Iron Sail is based on the Bread Slicer utilised by Charlotte's Custom II. The defining point of the Iron Sail is its broader, reinforced blade which gives the weapon its name.

The Ingram rifle is basically the Basic's Vent rifle modified to be integrated with a secondary barrel that fires particle bolts. Being semi-automatic, the Ingram is set to fire both solid and particle rounds simultaneously using the same trigger.

The Garm is the same as the one utilised by Charlotte's Custom II in all aspects, serving as a fall-back weapon.

The Caster is a particle cannon capable of unleashing charged particle blasts similar to the Minerva's Particle Cannon. Though the Caster isn't directly related to the Minerva's weapon as the Academy did not have any detailed data on the Minerva, let alone its armaments, prior to the Aegis Package's development.

The Wired Rocket Grappler-Shield is initially developed as an optional equipment for the Uchigane Training IS. It would serve as the Aegis Package's standard equipment allowing the user to grab and pull distant targets towards her.

The Hunter is a long rifle that would be used for long-ranged engagements or supporting other pilots from a distance. Basically a semi-automatic sniper rifle, the Hunter's firing mechanisms allows it to fire either solid cartridges or particle projectiles at high-velocity.

The user can choose between the two firing modes by loading either a solid cartridge magazine or a particle capacitor into the weapon.

The Aegis Package would also undergo a “field-testing phase”, involving Aegis trooper Aries Leonide utilising it for the first time in a joint rescue mission alongside Kirin, in the Fantom Falken IS, and Tsurugi, whom would be piloting the Minerva Akatsuki.

The idea I had in the past was that Ichika would become Sasword. As it turns out the worms had not been all destroyed during the time of Tendou. The riders fight until they die and the quality of riders that can withstand the clock up has been dwindling so now they are up to the third generation. Sasword being an exception as Ichika is 7th generation due to Saswords having a much higher mortality rate for some reason. Ichika is forced to become sasword to save someone during a worm attack. When he eventually gets sick of being a rider, he asks to be released from the duty. He is told that he can make that request directly to the sasword zecter, and if it is granted, Ichika's deeds, memories, the people he saved, the timeline where Ichika existed as sasword will cease. The worm attack that should have killed the first person he saved and himself will happen as it should have. The Sasword Zecter will pick someone else.

And knowing him, it would be common sense for Ichika not to accept such a term.

In a way my vision of Ichika then was a lot more human. He didn't want to die. He saw how the other riders were dying, some not even in combat, just their bodies giving in to overexposure to tachyon or sudden body failure due to tachyon conversion. He had also seen the red shoes system at work.

Now remember it, why Riders are getting weaker (in a raw sense). For example, Kugga Rising Ultimate's kick could destroy the Earth. Just imagine an I.S with all that power!
