Reading 198 in English again, that love seemed more one-sided than I thought it was. Hibiki practically wanted Lime for her party and to become a sort of emotional support (love interest). Lime just saw her as a good companion while wavering haha... party zoned.

Lime is very wise declining marriage with Hibiki. F*** that! LimexGorgons and LimexPower.

Hibiki honestly has a very privileged and spoiled outlook, furthermore she wanted to be teleported and become a hero despite not trusting the B.S. story of the BUG. Then after losing Naval, she's become a more revenge driven character. Honesty is not a characteristic I would attribute to Hibiki, manipulative like a politician is more like it. I think she's spoiled and pitiful since she agreed to the extermination of the demons half-heartedly, then once someone she knows dies, then it becomes personal. What was she expecting when she agreed to the BUG's request?! Her role really hasn't changed much from Earth, in both worlds she is an actress.

Here's a reminder about Hibiki's powers of charisma being enhanced by the BUG. Also she was lacking true friends on Earth and agreed to exterminate the demons half-heartedly like an afterthought. Charisma is a passive skill, unlike Tomoki's charm.

Spoiler for From Chapter 30:

The Goddess enhanced her physical strength and gave her strong magic power, on top of that she gave her the charisma to attract other people and conferred her a sacred treasure.

The girl had lost interest in her world. She didn’t have any lingering feelings for her previous life.

The household she was born into was rich and she was blessed with good looks, moreover she was good at both studying and exercising.

She did put effort in it but the girl was in the winners’ side. Moreover, she was able to enter in any type of society and by the time she noticed it she was practically at the top of the winners.

Hibiki actually likes being special and unique. She thought it was all like an RPG game. Then again, I don't feel much pity for her afterall. Hibiki got what she wanted and more in the bargain called "war." Who can she blame for that?

Spoiler for From Chapter 30:

Lady is a hero-sama after all. A special existence after all!”

Hibiki felt her own lips loosening.

She wasn’t someone that indulged herself that much in games but.

She felt that she somehow understood the feelings of the people that like RPGs.

That you are special. And from now on you will experience a special and unique adventure.

That beginning was an exalting and comfortable feeling that was hard to obtain.

The reason why the other gods like Athena, Shiva, Susanoo liked Makoto was because of his effort. He slowly accumulated the attention of others by working hard. Remember he was supposed to die early in infancy or be a stillbirth, but he gradually gained strength as he grew different from both his sister's circumstances. Where he got that mysterious technique to double his mana is still a hug question mark though. However, Tsukiyomi was most likely inclined to give Makoto a chunk of his powers because of his character. Tsukiyomi did observe Makoto for a period of time and was impressed with what he saw as expressed in his parting words.

Komoe really looks like the love child between Tomoe and Makoto imo. She has Tomoe's sharp wits and Makoto's gentle demeanor when she's not serious. Although Makoto spoils her more to the jealousy of Tomoe.

I'm really starting to hate Hibiki. I really want Makoto to curb stomp her a bit, she’s going down the wrong path and just doing the bidding of the goddess. My issue with her point of view is that the hyumans are the naturally dominant species in that world and the whole demi-humans should just be obedient and become slaves and work their way up from there. This will never work, the goddess doesn’t give her blessings to demi-humans and hyumans don’t give a shit about demi-humans.

I do hope Tomoe gets around to telling Lime and Makoto the truth that she is literally using her charm to use him, which makes her an enemy. For Makoto, I think its the natural charm thats affecting him and not the goddess-enhanced charm, combined with the familiarity of being a schoolmate and someone from Japan. Lime's case, its scary cause he doesn't realize he's being influenced by the goddess power. Although Makoto's last action snapped him out of it a bit, it might have just been do to Makoto's magic floating around after the purple cloud and maybe neutralizing the effects of the charm.

I really hope she gets NTR'd hard by Makoto and lose Chiya to him, and then get taken down a notch. At some point I hope Makoto is able to strip Tomoki and Hibiki's charm abilities, cure those afflicted, and neutralize their goddess blessings. Also maybe create his own Makoto blessing to protect his followers and the people he cares about from the influence of the bug goddess

Also, Makoto is unaffected by Hibiki's charisma and he simply has a strong first impression of her from their school days. He might be in a bit of denial as he is homesick creating that weakness, but Hibiki is "walking on a tightrope going through Mount Everest" using Makoto.
