Btw Kanon in the anime looks a little bit more cuter, i think that the animation was very good sure sometimes it was a little strange but most of the times was excellent, the pacing was perfect there was no boring scenes all and of them were made perfectly...

Other than that I can't complain. The episode was very well done and I really liked Kanon's seiyuu and the insert songs.

Yeah, I was not impressed by Kanon's insert songs.

They did a great job of portraying Kanon's yandere side, though I don't remember her stunguns being kitties. I'll have to go back and check.

It does look like art from August yeah. It does fit, considering August makes VN's. And Kanon looks cute in that style

Then again, words like tsundere have been separating from their original meaning for a while now... ( -_-)

Pretty dull episode. Kanon was especially a weak character and had little positive points, it felt.
But above any of her actions, what was NG in this episode was the amount of time spent just dancing and singing... which honestly weren't good songs. I felt like I had a headache...


I guess the part at the beginning where the protagonist was talking about idols and everything was the best part. Kind of real... As of recently, Aya?
Though he doesn't realize... idols can betray in 2D too...

Also slightly amusing that despite not caring about bringing his electronic into the bath tub, he finally worries about his game and system when Kanon started to zap him with the stun gun.

Overruled! Manga Elsie (like all the manga designs) has a cute simplicity that no (admittedly slight) tilt toward generic moefication can improve upon.

That said, Kanon's is the closest to the manga designs so far, so I agree with karuroso in spirit, if not exactly word for word...

Though I think we can all agree that ep1 Nikaido is their most egregious design failure...

That's because he's not going to drop his own PFP in the water. With the stun guns, he has no control over the situation.

If you're going to compare them to their designs on chapter 7 where the anime is at now then yeah you got a point but compared to wakaki's latest art style? Elsie and Kanon is much cuter in the latest chapters in the manga. Same goes for Ayumi.

Well as far as characters go she is a nice pretty closely matched character. Definately loled at the double stun gun part. Anyways. Anyone know what the names of the insert songs were for episode 4 and 5?

The art in the end looks like it belonged to AUGUST.

The entire speach is a good parody of Gihren Zabi speach, especially for an important funeral towards the middle of Mobile Suit Gundam. (I went back and check the manga, that speech in the manga version is simply that of an evil dictator, having parody Gihren Zabi's infamous funeral speech works better.)

So we now have at least 2 Gundam reference (Zaku head in episode 3 and Gihren Zabi speach here).

Well yeah =P drawings have the tendency to get better as the manga progress, of course my comparison came directly from the corresponding arcs/chapters in the manga, i agree that in the most recent chapters of the manga most of the heroines look much better now, however i don't think that Elsie has been "upgraded" that much . Anyway its a matter of taste i suppose...

Going in, the things I looked the most forward to was the singing and the stun guns. The stun guns didn't disappoint.

I think I felt like Elsee for a moment there, when she thought "I'm going to hear Kanon sing!" Since, well, you can't really hear her sing when reading a manga

All 4 You was nice to listen to. The other songs were kinda eh.

Yes, they did leave out that line, sadly. I was looking forward to that line in the anime, ironically, I forgot about it as I watched on.

In fact, I couldn't help but feel something was wrong, be it for the normal speech or the songs, which distracted me during the whole episode so to speak.

I agree, I felt that the voice didn't fit the character. I felt that the only parts where the voice felt "fitting" was during the start of the episode when Kanon won the award and she was saying her thanks or something.

Agreed, with her voice and all, she does look and feel so much cuter.

Although this has been said over and over, I still have to say it, and that is the stun guns were awesome. I guess they changed the stun guns from your normal stun guns to the neko stun gun to make it look "friendly"? I like how the er...whatever you call that part of the stun gun looked like the claws from the paws of the cat.

Interesting. The ending felt a bit underwhelming though. I thought they could've heightened the tension by adding more "p p p" effects, rather than just two.
