For some reason episode 1 gave me a lingering feeling that the storyboard was adapted from a visual novel. Spread throughout the episode, we had 3 entire minutes worth of Saya by herself, running/walking from place to place, with short events being triggered when she arrived at each destination. The singing while walking threw me off, like it was forcibly added to distract form that fact they had Saya moving around so much. Seems like the director was trying a bit too hard to introduce all of the characters, the layout of the world, as well as have some Saya slasher action at the end, all in a single episode. The episode itself was a bit short too at 19:30, or 16:30 of actual episode minus moving around.

Not a strong start, but an introduction is an introduction. The plot and character development will probably pick up in episode 2, now that they got all these mundane things out of the way.

The first episode officially airs next week. Unless you mean episode 2, in which case yes it's 2 weeks from now.

CLAMP main girls are usually klutz, and this follows the trend

What, really?

& you complain about this being a CLAMP show.. when it is a CLAMP show? Don't watch it knowing it's a CLAMP work then.

Not a bad first episode, although it could have been done better. Nothing much really happened this episode, and there was a bit too much of Saya just walking around town, but I thought the fight scene was pretty cool. Hopefully things start picking up next episode.

- No, Saya. Faceplanting like that, repeatedly, don't make you endearing to me. It makes you dumb!

- Oh look! The cafe owner look like Yuto Kogai from X!!!!

- OP IS stylish like most of OPs of the Blood Franchise.

- Twins creeps me out.

- Now, the fight. That's the Blood I learned to love since the movie. And unlike a fantasy series from last season, it gives you a sense of tension and danger. Please, make more like that and better!

Not a bad first episode. I'll wait two or three more eps before keep or drop.

I'm not really understanding this. What's wrong with the first episode showing us Saya's everyday life? It's needed for the contrast when comparing it to her dark background, shown in the last scene.

First impressions:

There were elements I enjoyed, but I can sense some friction in the melding of styles here. It appears that based on one ep, the CLAMP gene is dominant and the Blood and Production I.G. genes are recessive.

Hmmm so if I had to guess Saya is brainwashed (or lost her memory) and her "father" is using her as a tool to fight evil. Just pure random speculation but a lot of little things just really dont add up. And if that sword is actually called that I am going to be surprised ... it looks like teeth/fangs are holding it into the sheathe but its called a holy sword or something lol? I also had problems with the fight scene but well it is a work of fiction so the writers can do whatever implausible stuff they want (I just find it too implausible even for fiction).

Saya making that baseball throw from halfcourt after getting triple-teamed cracked me up pretty bad oddly enough

If Ro-Kyu-Bu and Blood C has taught me anything about basketball, it's that if you're stuck at halfcourt being triple teamed just throw the shot up anyway .
