Wildly entertaining!
Loved the hair-sniffing scene. I can totally relate to that. Oh, about the 10 swordsmen in the picture. Wasn't there a hint of a three-in-one sword in ep.1? Also, regarding the nature of the show I wouldn't be too surprised if one of the leading roles turned out to be an embodiment of one of the swords, (the protagonist, or more likely his odd sister). Anyways, I will eagerly await the conclusion even if it will take a while. |

Did anyone else find it a bit weird that there is only one maniwa ninja in the opening animation? And it had to be the Cytomander knock-off no doubt. There was so many ways they could have approached that.
And that Sabi Hakuhei looks like a damn chick. |

Yes, it turns white from the shock and horror of watching her family get slaughtered. There's a short scene in ep. 1, after ninja whatshisname tells Shichika that her real reason for seeking his help is for revenge. It shows her standing in the burning remains of her home, she screams, hair turns white.

Episode two was definitely very amusing and witty in it's dialogue and situations. However, I really felt bad for the guy holed up in his desert castle. He should have been left alone--clearly he had no plans of going out and fighting for political power; and anyway, why shouldn't the shogunate have some competition to keep him accountable, prevent him from achieving absolute power? Going around and killing people to steal their stuff all the time is pretty unethical IMO. I hope in the ending involves the swords not actually ending up in the possession of the shogunate.
