While traditional "toast or cereal, eggs, and bacon" type breakfast is rather bland and tiring, some country breakfast meals are very tasty.

Really good hashbrowns, scattered, smothered, covered, and chunked, is one of my favorites of all time!

If he failed, he'd be dropped out of school immediately. I doubt Soma would actually fail though, he's probably plotting something to troll the rest. Man, I almost got a heart attack there. I wonder what kind of twist the dish would bring.

Look at his wrist. He wears a bandage. It can probably no longer use his hand. And for cooking, it needs both.

He always has his left wrist bandaged up, if I remember correctly, because he uses the cloth to cover up his hair when he's cooking. Plus the injured hand should be the right, not the left.

He must be just feeling a bit of lost confidence. Even though he wasn't head chef, he still thought he lost which I say isn't really true. He just needs to rebound.

The name of the chapter is about being in a trap. The problem is that he's next to Erina who put out a dish that looks so good that it shames Souma's even though Souma's may taste better. This is causing his dish to be overlooked.

Every other chapter the dishes he made were required to be tasted by the judges. Here the customers have choice and if they don't like the way the food looks are aren't drawn to it, they don't have to choose his dish. Souma never learned that plating is almost as important as the taste of the food itself and that may cost him.

Really don't understand about the plating appearance. I really don't think it is important. Well I am a grazer so maybe that is why. As long as it taste good, I really don't care how it look.

Well these are all high class bureaucrat people. In all high class restaurants that is as important as the taste.
