No idea on that last one, but if Fremea was able to come through, I expect Shinka-chan to do pretty well.

I want to disagree with that first part, but this volume has just been great through and through. I honestly don't have anything meaningful to say against it.

Anyway, screw you, Mugino, this isn't the time for that dark side BS.

It's time to kick St. Germain back into nothingness!

Geez. Everyone may be getting wowed by the AC gravity bomb, but I think the real bleeding edge item in the series is Kamijou Touma's jacket. That is one durable jacket.

And seriously Kamachi. Making your protagonist scale/abseil an elevator shaft in high rise buiding occupied by potential terrorists? Didn't I say before that Kamijou Touma isn't John McClane!? Only this time, I can't help but think that he's badass.

WTH is Touma's jacket made off
Not only vs Hamazura but also withstanding friction of going down who knows how many tens of floors lol and in the last illustration it seems completely fine XD

That was fun I guess. Touma and Hamazura's interactions are defintely one of the main highlights of this volume. They're actions and thoughts keep conflicting ^^;

There are still 100 more pages right? What else will there be in this volume? I doubt this confrontation will take that long.

I like John McClane, but Touma already surpass that level already. So please, I WANNA ACTION!!!

Hamazura's Power Lifter + AI VS Touma's his jacket.

We know which item is more badass. Off course It's the jacket! The interaction is quite fun and Mugino ... It's all her fault you know

So far this volume has been very meh, for me, not bad but not impressive in the slightest, I really don't seem to care about Kanou and his story at all.

I did for Mitsuari in NT.11, but I can't for Kanou in this volume, I can't explain it, up until now I thought i would never come across for a volume for which I cared nothing about, seems I was wrong.

I mean here we are about to have the final showdown of the volume and all can think about is when is it going to finally end so I can see what happens between the Magic gods and Alister.

------------------

Let's get to it:

- ITEM just doing their thing, nothing to see here move alon... WAIT A MINUTE...Did Stephanie just Mcguyver a fucking PDW out of Power Lifter parts? Are we sure she's not a Kihara or something?

- Man is Hamazura slow, never has Touma had so much trouble explaining something to someone in all these volumes, everyone pretty much got it the first time around while Hamazura needs directions, a map and manual just to begin to understand it.

- Hamazura logic = "So I'm going to lock you in here so you don't get hurt for no reason while trying to save someone, meanwhile I'll go in your stead and possibly die along side said person you are trying to save by just letting them hit you a few times since my idea is so much better"

At least Touma saw the obvious answer laying in the room.

- Touma's jacket too OP, please nerf.

I wonder where it ranks in power levels?

- Boring Kanou monologue is boring, only good thing about it was Frenda being somewhat caring.

- How the hell did the watch survive that? Please din't tell me Kanou (a known level 0) suddenly got an ability or some kind of power up because of the power of friendship, if so I'll be pissed.

- So after all Touma has done from the beginning of the series he is still considered a boy, yet Kanou gets one sob story (he should get over it he is not special or the only one who's gone through something similar) in one volume in which he spends more than half of it scared, being lead around by the bad guy? (What do we classify St. Germaine as?), and just feeling sorry for himself and all of a sudden he is a man just because he realized he was being used? How does that work?

Cleary, Touma confers his on and off superhuman durability to his personal effects. It explains how his phone survived Mikoto's electric attack in OT volume 3.

We are talking about the same jacket that tanked a shot from a flying fortress, right? AC tech it's really something else.

Im pretty much 50/50 at this point of the volume. What I liked about this volume so far Touma, Hamazura, Othinus as for the two heroes that is some balancing making it so Hamazura isnt inferior to Touma even with all the experience Touma has. Tbh I thought if Touma and Hamazura were going to work together then Hamazura would just be Touma's lackey the whole volume but I was wrong. Really like how its playing out there and now Othinus best support, giving me more reasons why i think she is the best female character and now getting index involved well done.

What I dont like st.germain who just wants the attention of the magic gods by messing with touma and trying to change his nature by having the trap die when fighting him. Also kanou goes from a coward who would steal another person identity to taking revenge and saying he would kill hamazura then touma(which his reason was stupid AF) into a man when he heard that message left by frenda from that toy box or what ever it was. To make matters worse is a trap......yea i dont like this guy it all feels so forced to me.

May the final battle commence lying random ass sacks of shit vs heroes with trap included!

Good try by Hamazura there, but Touma wouldn't let him get killed in his place so it was doomed to fail. I liked Kanou's monologue further detailing his reasoning and state of mind after seeing Frenda's death video. I also liked how he finally remembered what Frenda had told him about his tears, and it kinda makes sense that as the pawn used by St. Germain he takes center stage against him with Touma and Hamazura supporting him. It's a good start for him but I'll wait to read the rest of the volume to decide if he's redeemed himself or not.

I didn't expect all others coming to help since the illustration only showed those three, but I guess it would have been hard to fit them all and the St. Germains in one illustration. It should make the fight even more interesting now that it's a goup vs a group.

He could convince a nice person like Othinus to restore the world and then save her from billions of people. If he could do something so amazing, why didn't he come to this world to save us all? Why have you forsaken us Kamijou Touma?

... or so I would like to say, but my laughter is so intense I can hardly talk right now. I don't know if it was supposed to be a comedy scene or not, but it feels to me like Kamijou-san and Hamazura-san were made to hear that conversation just to tsukkomi St.Germain.

Jokes aside. Othinus is now the token Magic Side encyclopedy? I feel like she's monopolizing some people's roles here, not that I mind.
Also, AC now has gravity technology, huh? I don't think this is a mere 20~ years lead anymore.
Goddammit, I lost it when you mentioned Zack and Aerith . Fuck you Touma .

Anyway, the build up for the imminent clash that is going to happen next chapter is so epic. First with Touma and his godlike timing, which is on par or even beyond that of William Orwell's, throwing that gift that has Frenda's message and gift for Kanou, then Hamazura and Touma being badasses by clashing with the thousand Chambord spears to save Kanou's sweet scented ass, then with Mugino firing a Meltdowner, then with Hamazura tsukkomi-ing her, then with Index and the rest appearing, then that illustration which has Touma wearing a badass smirk on his face...damn...so freaking epic...I gotta chill out for a while.

The moment with Kanou-kun & the gift reminded me of that amazing timing with Shiina's VM to Touma during NT8's battle with Freya. That was great. I especially enjoy the chemistry between Shiage & Touma.

Part 15 brought out some strong emotions.

Well, Saint Germain's plan is doomed, but it was pretty poorly thought from the beginning, guess you can't expect much from a living meme.

What the hell is that jacket made of? Seriously that jacket is truly one of academy city's greatest accomplishments.

Touma and Shiage's interactions are great and I love that we can see Kanou's mindset as he goes from wanting revenge to wanting to stand aganist Saint Germain.

That jacket is TouMan's Offence armor

And part15 is really nice ^^ It kinda shows the difference between Shiage and Touma's way of doing... Shiage was ready to fight while touma wanted to solve this without fighing and he did it.

Still I wonder if Touma saw Mugino and vice versa

Based jacket.

This St. Germain guy is kinda interesting though; seems quite dedicated to his ambitions. Kinda curious to see if Touma will ever meet Mugino. And oh, Touma and Hamazura make quite a team lol

Edit: based on the almost complete version of Volume 12, chapter 2, it seems so.
