I don't think so. This has all the marks of the author ending it himself. Rosario hasn't been doing stellar, but it was pretty stable on the Jump Square roster from all I've seen.

I think the author was just bored and disappointed in such lukewarm sales. It happens.

作者側からお願いする連載終了は、基本的に「ここで終わる」半年くらい前に編集部に報告するものですので、 その最後までの見通しがちょっと甘かったんですよね〜。

ですので、描き足りなかった分は、描き足しと言う形でコミック最終巻に収録させて頂きました。
これで僕の思い描いていた内容になっていると思いますので、SQで読んでくれた方も、コミック読んで頂ける と嬉しいです〜！

This series was lucky at least, kaminomi left lots of unanswered questions and plot holes when it ended.

Means that sales had something to do with it being cut the way it was. But if Ikeda was smart, he would have gone back to the 45+ pages a chapter to cram all that happened in those 6 months into 4 months, and then been able to do a longer 3 chapter epilogue that may have felt more satisfying.

I'd be happy if they made a Fumoffu like series from R+V, depicting all of the crazy things Tsukune and his friends got into after R+V2.
It doesn't have to have some serious plot, just be enjoyable to read.

No that's just a bad retelling of the story different from the original with way too many panty shots, which is why I like to refer to the anime adaptation as Rosario+Panties
While not changing anything about the original plot I just want to see the funny things that could not be fit into the original series.

Fumoffu was not an alternate story from the original FMP!, it just showed the funny things that the original serious anime left out, which was a great breather in between the first & third seasons. The MORE serious FMP!: The Second Raid came out after that.

problem is he is not the one deciding how many pages he gets that is the editorial staff but I like your suggestion.
