Season 2, episode 11
Kyouka locked up....this girl just never gets a break. Atsushi still comes up short against the Guild. It's like their power gap is just too far apart. The mind games played this episode was rather thrilling. Ryuunosuke still impresses me in this show as one of the most intimidating characters. His expressions of envy towards Atsusi was quite intense and the part where he briefly teams up with Atsushi was rather entertaining imo. One more episode left...damn.

Episode 11
So Flitzgard's ability is to increase his strength in proportion to the money he spends, and the guy's a nekoing zillionare... He's invincible lol. I like how his mindset is exactly that of those rich corrupt faggots who rule country to squeeze money out of the citizens for themselves while giving no fucks about what happens to those affected by it. Akutagawa had such great timing lol. He showed up when Atsushi was lying down after getting beat up to tell him to get up lol. And he was ignoring Flitzgard because he wanted to focus on his main dish first and desert afterwards. Akutagawa was acting so cool only to get beaten up by the zillionare. Lol on the roof of Moby Dick, it was literally a three-way fight. They were fighting one another. They've settled their issues now and are going in to defeat Flitzgard who is probably bankrupt now after spending all that money. For some reason I'm kinda expecting Dazai to show up at any moment behind Flitzgard to pat him on the shoulder and make him stop lol. |

Series' Finale:
Wow so intense. Atsushi pretty much threw everything in his attack this episode. Kyouka is such a brave girl imo, even if it means trying to stop the Moby Dick herself. Really glad to see that she survived and reunited with Atsushi though. What a hero. Really glad to see her join the Armed Detective Agency team along with her new friends. She belongs there. Obviously, they didn't defeat the Guild altogether. The manga continues from here so the series isn't a complete adaptation. Still was quite an interesting season with the Dazai background storytelling from the first few episodes and later to the conflict with Port Mafia and Guild. There's still an OVA that I also look forward to seeing in the future. Second season took me a little time to get used to but met my expectations in the end. 8/10.

Heck of a way to open the finale, straight into the action, and what action.
Good way to close the series, and really I'd not say no to more of this. I think the second series realised a lot more potential than the first series did, and I really enjoyed it. |

That was a pretty satisfying way to wrap things up. The guild was defeated,Kyouka finally found her place in the light, and Akutagawa got to hear what he always wanted to hear from Dazai. A new antagonist was also introduced.

Episode 12
Even after going completely bankrupt, it still wasn't enough to defeat the Akutagawa-Atsushi combo. That's the combo Dazai was looking for to defeat their next twisted villain who'll appear if this show ever gets another season. I liked how they wrapped up things with Kyouka. She is finally wanted for something other than killing and is now part of the good guys gang. Lol those guild guys being surprised to see Moby Duck in water. Isn't that where it should have been lol? Pretty good stuff here. The previous season took some time to get started, but this was a blast throughout. The flashback part was also pretty good. They kinda made a bit of a connection here with Dazai telling Kyouka to leave the dark side just like how he left it. The second half had quite the excitement and they nicely wrapped up the Akutagawa-Atsushi thing too. Very good overall. Wouldn't mind more of it. |

Kyouka being adorable as hell aside, I really liked the title and Atsushi's answer to it: "If I may shed away my burden now, I will... Act in a way that none would be ashamed of" I liked it as much as "The head may err, but the blood may not". Great stuff.
