just seen the last PV and it seem way more action oriented than the ova (whit even a bit of gore)and i'm also hyper happy to see again black gold saw the evil one in this seems the wheelchaired girl/charriot but can be totally wrong

What I understood :
- OP music is Black Rock Shooter original song
- ED music is the one used in the PV
- Imaishi and Akira Amemiya were in charge of animation layout of the first episode
- 10 CG animators credited at least for the 1st episode
- Imaishi did storyboard of the 2nd one with Hajime Horinouchi
- CG action was impressive & there was a Chain Circus
- different atmosphere between the two episodes
- OVA is original work. Okada writes considering OVA as 1st episode (?). They'd like to have a relation between worlds of OVA and TV series but it'd difficult.
- maybe OVA sequel one day

The BRS TV series is a re-imagination of sorts based on the same story the OVA had. It is still about Mato and Yomi trying to build a friendship, and Mato's still in the basketball club, and Yu is the manager. But it won't continue from the OVA's story, instead it'll start from the beginning with more characters added into the story and things might play out differently.

Based on what was written in the Q&A on the site, what he probably meant was that Okada wrote the TV story based on the OVA, treating the OVA as an episode in a longer series. It fits with their suggestion that they could continue the OVA separately in future. But for the TV series, it is "based on" the OVA as the original material, but it will be a complete story in its own right.


Edit: Other info that wasn't posted above, from the same source:

- Kazuko Nakajima is still handling the color design for the series.
- Hideharu Mori is composing the music, which means ryo isn't... too bad.
- Yusuke Yoshigaki and Hiroyuki Imaishi also worked with Mari Okada on the scripts, along with various other staff members in the team. They all contributed to the formation of the series.
