(L) New Evangelion Project: Rebuild of Evangelion [Movies 1 & 2]

I know for a fact that Rebuild will not have an American theatrical release. Anime just hasn't gotten to that point of interest here in the States, unfortunately. I'm also optimistic that Rebuild will have a release direct to DVD. Some way or another, it's going to happen. However, there could be a slight chance of a select theater release, similar to what FUNimation did to the last couple Dragon Ball Z movies. But I'm just throwing this out, it may or may not happen.

As for Rebuild in general? I think it's going to be great. Anno is involved, and I believe that he wouldn't go this far to screw it up. Let's cross our fingers!

Hmm, the remake would be great if they actually answered a most of the questions left from the original of Evangelion.

The day I found out about RoE I was overwhelmed with happiness. I can't wait till it comes out.

If you mean as in "why isn't she in the first movie?" then its already been explained, she'll make her appearance in the second movie.

No I mean I wonder what happened to her at the End of Evangelion.

When she took on the Mass Produced Evas and the NERV staff loses contact with her when her Eva is stabbed with the Lance of Longinus replicas. I wanted to know what happened to her. She was my favorite female character of the cast.

Huh? In The End of Evangelion before the MPE are able to finish off Asuka the "berserker"-state Unit 02 enters into forces her into becoming LCL, saving her from death until she reforms later just like Shinji did.

But there is lots of talk that isn't just Asuka but a combination of Rei, Misato and Asuka. If you notice her eyes are a different color and she has the wounds and bandages of Rei.

There's always been lots of talk, and the fact is none of it is official --- and i doubt we'll get answers like that in Rebuild, its not what its about.

The wounds and bandages are actually perfectly accurate considering the damage she took from the MPE series.

Where did she get the bandages from? Like at the end it was only Shinji and Her.

The lighting. Red light is reflected off her eyes because of all the red that is in the surroundings. If you check the video rather than the screen-shoot, you would see Asuka still had her normal eye colour.

I can't wait for this to come out. I wonder how Kaworu will figure into this first movie. Wasn't the first movie only supposed to cover the first 6 episodes? Kaworu didn't appear until episode 24...

And? Just because Kaworu appeared that late in the original anime doesn't mean something like this can't happen in the movie.

Also just for the record, he appeared a little bit earlier in the manga.

Kaworu also is much bigger part in the manga than in the anime so they could be taking the route with him in these new movies.

You might as well be asking why they're both fully clothed after being reformed from the sea of LCL. It's not like there were many visible clothing items hanging around in the LCL, especially their specific clothes and I don't think LCL makes clothes either, so Shinji and Asuka should have been naked.

But they weren't, you can blame EvaSCIENCE for that.
