*shrug* I can't comment on that yet, simply because we've seen next to nothing so far. YOU were the one trying to reduce SP to a primitive tease for yuri-fetish otakus - after a single episode ... and YOU are talking about scope?

It makes no difference whether a show is shoujo-ai or not, the only measures by which I judge a show is whether it is interesting or not, by whether it is beautiful or not, by whether it is innovative or not, by whether it is well-detailed and well-animated or not.
Add "to me" to all this, and I wouldn't even disagree.

You might be thinking differently, and I am not taking away your right to love this show to death, but consider one thing: I am stating MY opinion here that Strawberry Panic is none of those things and by MY own yardstick in is highly mediocre in the areas where it isn't laughingly terrible.
That's fine, nobody is debating YOUR right to feel this way and to express it. Unfortunately, you'll have to live with MY right to point out that your review - which you painted with a very broad brush as universal wisdom and NOT as your personal opinion - was done in an extremely sloppy way, opinionated, and highly speculative. Sorry pal, live with it

Yeah? And what else is there? Please do enlighten me, what the hell else is there in this show besides the yuri fanservice and the multitude of egg-headed clones who differ only by hair color, level of genki-ness and breast size? I am assuming this is what you called "broader in layout".

Do you by any chance consider Negima to be the epitome of anime?
Good for you, thanks for your opnions.

The artwork and characters' designs for Strawberry Panic look to me that are making allusions to those of Kannazuki no Miko.

Even Shizuma reminds me of Chikane.

For me it would be properly to say that Strawberry Panic = Maria-sama ga Miteru + Kannazuki no Miko (w/o mecha and just romance story)

The first episode was nice. I wouln't say it's great, because almost nothing has happened yet, but I like the colour scheme and the peaceful environment.

I remembered this quote. Pretty please, Doremi-fansubs!

Like the art better than I thought, love the voices! And thank god Nagisa doesn't refer to herself in the third person!

Gah we're bogged down on karaoke... If there's anyone out there willing to do one for us, get in #doremi and PM me.

Saw the first episode (well, I timed it). Tamao's my new favorite lesbian.

Yeah, she's pretty awesome, even though she is Tomoyo clone #1056.
