Leaving the butchery by 4kids I cant find any other reason . One Peice is superior to Bleach and Naruto in terms of plot and chracter developement . Even fillers of One Peice are way bettr than Bleach and Naruto

I never saw the 4kids adaption. I hated Naruto even from the beginning. Still, Bleach grabbed my attention much faster than OP did because the art style looks (looked) 1000x cooler.
Thank god for second chances. Funny thing is now I can't stand non-OP art style because they are so generic and boring.... To be honest, for something as badly advertised as OP in NA, to achieve this kind of popularity and receive a much higher rating on all the major anime info sites is a statement about this series quality in itself. |

^I feel the samw way, except I always hated bleach. It's an obvious Yuyu Hakusho rip off with better animation.
I think a big problem with OP's popularity is the Japanese are more accustomed to stick with a series longer than americans. I lost interest in OP around the buggy arc because I was reading it in the US shounen Jump and it took forever to get through an arc that totally bored me @ times. OP doesn't really kick into gear for most ppl until the Arlong arc and by that time many casual american fans might have abandoned it. And ofcourse now thanks to 4kids most casual fans won't even give it a chance. |

I had actually started to watch One Piece on 4kids when they first started to air it. after they got done with Sanji's arc, I couldnt help it and wanted to see Nami's arc soo badly. so I went a got the torrents for them and started to watch all that I could I think I went from episode 1 - 110 in like two weeks. XD
I have to say the people that doesnt give this anime a chance to see what its really about and only base it on what they see in the first few minutes are-----( no good words can describe it ) ..... |

I have heard many people dont like one piece. Also i read somewhere in the forums that if people dont like one piece by a certain arc then they probably wont like the anime.
I have a question. What Arc is that ?. i cant find where i read that in the forum.

All kidding aside, I don't know what the post you mentioned is from, but I would believe that if they don't like it by the Don Kreig Arc (episodes 18-30), then they probably will not like the series. Captain Kuro Arc (9-17) was ok. Apologies to Usopp fans, but I could never find Usopp's over-the-top lies as truly convincing and necessary. Of course, if you can go through the Arlong Arc (31-44), I would think you would be hooked by then (since, IMO, it's probably one of the best arcs in the whole series). If not, One Piece is definitely not for you. I hope this helps.

my 5 point maybe answers why it isnt as populair as the rest
1 maybe because they sometimes only air 3 a week 2 maybe its not as comercial as naruto/bleach 3 maybe because its muchmuch older then naruto bleach and when naruto and bleach came out maybe people forgot about OP 4 maybe because OP is too much adventure and not only action. 5 maybe because the series arent making alot progress i mean almost 100% sure luffy will find One piece and become pirate king but the current series arent even close to that. |

This theard is start to getting old. By now people should know that OP is much more popular than Naruto in Japan and Eastern Asia in general, Bleach is not even close to those two series if they bother to read through the posts.
It's here in the U.S. that Naruto and Bleach has higher popularity than OP. In addition to the often discussed butchery of the series by 4kid, I personally believe that culture is another factor, western civalization grow up with Pirates so to them Ninjas are much more interesting and mysterious. It is opposite in Asia, while Ninjas are cool, Pirates are cooler. |

^The Box office numbers for Pirates of the Caribbean (1, 2, and ultimatley 3) kinda blow your logic up...If One Piece had been presented as a "all-ages" show as oppose to a 6-11 age group it would have been more successful here...Plus One Piece has been on for 10 years in a "to die for" timeslot on seemingly the most popular channel in Japan for shonen anime...Bleach's only been around for a like 3 years...In the anime ratings thread found in the genral anime forum all 3 (naruto OP, Bleach) were in the top 10 last month...One Piece is on average much more popular, but it has a foot-hold in Japanese culture...I just wish I could here aswell, but that ship already sailed so to speak...

I'll agree that the three series is much closer in popularity when is come to their anime version, but keep in mind that in the current OP anime the episode has caught up to manga substentially that the series is pretty much on a bi-weekly schedule, in addition, the episodes are recap heavy [at one strech in current arc the recap footage consist almost 40% of the episode at around 8 mins, that's not counting the 3 and 1/2 min worth of OP/ED and the episode is usually 21-22 mins long excluding commercials]
In turn of Manga verson, OP completely blow away both series in sell it's not even close. OP had total circulation 130,000,000 in 45 volume compare to 71,000,000 for Naruto [36 volumes] and 39,000,000 for Bleach [26 volume] With laste volume circulation at 2,250,000 for OP volume 45 compare to 1,480,000 for Naruto volume 36 and 1,310,000 for Bleach Volume 26. And volume 24 of OP [End of Alabasta Arc] was the highest all-time tankoban seller in Japan. The stats are also similar in other east asian countries such as China, Taiwan, Korea, and Hon Kong. As for Pirate of Caribbean comparison, I agree to certain extent, mainly that it sort proof that is the series is market as its original intend to late-teen, young-adult market it'll fare much better, and that goes back to the 4Kid debacle. But at same time you are compare a general audience to a niche audience, as main stream as comic/manga/anime is in Asia, it is still a niche market in U.S. especially when most are still consider closet fans and people who watch or read them usually have fasinations with East Asia Culture and that audience is what my theory is base upon. |

The fact that One Piece is a bit different from all the ordinary Anime
we have, make's interessting for me. I guess many people just see the draw style and the really big number of episodes and are not any longer interesstet because they think they waste time by watching it. (isn't it by all anime so?) They just don't know what they miss by don't watching One Piece btw hi i'm new here ^^ |

Dude.. one piece is the bomb @RssE diggidy... Naruto sucks ass after the Sasuke arc.. the sippuuden part of the story is boring.. Bleach is ok.. the manga I great and the anime is good.. but still is not as good as One piece!!!
US really screw up this time with OP.. not only they slowed down the popularity of OP in US... but practically in all america.. in mexico the anime didn't appeal to the audience cuz it was too lame.. we had the 4kids version...I remember when I was like 10 years old i use to watch all that blood in DBZ..yup we had the uncensored ages before... but well.. OP rocks... 4kids sucks... and everything else |

Naruto shippuden sux(anime only). The animation is getting worse and the storyline is a drag. Gai vs Kisame and Itachi vs Kakashi took up 3 episode++. Bleach also (anime only). The design is getting dull. Ichigo's vaizard form is not even cool in the anime. The manga is much better. The mask have the "you are so f**ked now" looks in the manga.
I think OP is not as popular as bleach and naruto back then is because naruto and bleach was really good pass few years. The animation and storyline is all new. But I think OP is catching up right now. The animation is getting better and better. And it has more surprise and more plot. |

Dudes, One Piece is MUCH better than Naruto/Bleach. Like some people, I did see the 4kids version first. I only saw one episode and was completely disgusted by it. It was sooo horrible. I turned the channel after 5 minutes of viewing. I thought, "This was the One Piece I've heard so much about?!"... Now, months later, I decided to give it another shot, but downloaded the fansubs this time. That was probably the best decision of my life. lol I was hooked.
Naruto is just bleh.. I lost interest when they just wouldn't shut up about Sasuke. Bleach is definitely boring now. I thought it would get better after the fillers, but no.. it hasn't. And besides, Zoro > Ichigo |

I admit that I think One Piece is better than Naruto and Bleach. I saw the 4kids first and, despite the editing and such, I truthfully liked it (I was so naive at the time, not anymore). I will also admit that Naruto and Bleach still have potential left, but currently the story for Naruto (whether it be anime or manga) is not to my taste (something interesting occurs every now and then, but even so it still doesn't grab me) and Bleach is doing okay right now, but for how long?

hmm.. personally, i think one piece ranks one, naruto ranks 2 and lastly bleach. One piece has plots that no one ever think of, just like author of deathnote. I mean, one piece story is just fantastic, it makes ppl come for more manga and anime chapters. Naruto is nt bad, well better than bleach. Bleach has some fanciful fights and power, but no humor. Power of bleach is getting too strong and absurb, just like dragonball saiyan who can destroy earth with one blow and there are even stronger bosses. It can become boring. I guess the spirit comin out of body and different bankai is the only attractive point
