I wonder if we can project our own solar system back far enough to have Mars habitable, and then see if the belt was just debris caught between Jupiter and Mars, or if there was another planet there at one point in time.

NASA is now accepting applications from companies that want to mine the
moon: "NASA is now working with private companies to take the first steps in exploring the moon for valuable resources like helium 3 and rare earth metals. Initial proposals are due tomorrow for the Lunar Cargo Transportation and Landing by Soft Touchdown program (CATALYST). One or more private companies will win a contract to build prospecting robots, the first step toward mining the moon." See: http://www.theverge.com/2014/2/9/539...-moon-catalyst |

NASA is working on 3D printing wood in space
http://techcrunch.com/2014/02/09/how-nasa-prints-trees/ My opinion : this is interesting....wood have many use and it is light weight and quite strong as material, thus can be used from building moonbase (partially...not completely made of wood, of course...) as what it is intended to be to even a spaceship (partially too...i guess.. Maybe) plus since its cellulose it could be grown on site... P.S : hey...if NASA go through with this we will got a juraian spaceship...or base

Just removed a bunch of posts related to debating over science as authority verses religion as authority question.
Lets keep those kinds of debates out of the thread proper. Will open up the thread again.

'The study of celestial bodies', really? If that was what astrology is, then it could very well be a science. All those NASA guys sending rovers to mars would be astrologists. |
