Gildartz didn't seem surprised by Natsu's behavior, so I guess it predates Lisana's death.

I'm quite surprised by how recent Lisana's death is; 2 years? wow, how little Natsu mentions her I thought it was a little longer than that. I suppose it is the shounen nature of the manga.

Anyways, it seems it is an uncomfortable topic for Natsu. But I'm sort of intrigued in the backstory, which, makes me sad since we all know how it ends.

The second point is very likely. It's so easy to imagine this: 'If I was a little stronger, I can protect those close to me.' which leads to 'to become stronger, I must keep fighting those who are stronger than me.'

Presuming the DS are human and not just the baby form of dragons.

I wouldn't doubt that the only way to kill a dragon is to be another dragon... it's quite possible that the more one uses DS magic, and the stronger the magic becomes, the more you start turning in a dragon yourself (after all, Natsu was gaining the teeth and scales of a dragon... wouldn't be surprised if he got claws as well, and even wings at one point. The question is, how long until the transformation can't be reversed?)

Possible Theory: DS magic is a magic that allows humans to fight on the level of dragons right? But according to Gildartz, only a dragon can fight a dragon, which means that DS magic might be something of a transformative magic, accelerating an originally human person into a dragon the more it is used. One side-effect could be that it rapidly ages the body towards the full dragon form, which is why Natsu and Gazille were affected by that 80 years rule.

Kind of mind-blowing to know that Dragons may have actually been human... and if we follow this line of thought, it might be possible that Zeref could be the black dragon.

Yeah, the council believes him dead as well. But all we saw of his supposed survival was a single hole in the ground, and Igneel was hiding in like some lava place, so can't really say Zeref is staying in one single place.

For now, I would stick with the scenario that the Dragon cannot win against Zeref, they made the Dragon Slayers with the potential to surpass them to one day defeat Zeref once and for all.

Black Dragon might be a monster created by Zeref; presuming most dragons as their DS may be mall tempered (sometimes) but not evil.

since there are a infinite number of parallel worlds there are now infinite number of geards. pretty soon a army of geards will invade fairy tail world to rescue the other geard.

Godamn Gerard not only did the evil Gerard win Erza´s heart, but mistgun Gerard won Wendy´s. Poor Natsu lol, not that he had any interest in either in a romantic way.

It goes back to Lucy and Wendy discussing the disappearance of the dragons and Happy trying to gain Charle's attention. After being spurned badly by Charle, he goes to ask what he did wrong only to be told that he can not protect Natsu and that Charle can protect Wendy ( it looks like there are more to the cats than what is seen). Chapter ends with Wendy meeting with Mistgun, only to find out the it was him that see met 7 years ago and not Gerard. It seems that Mistgun is not of that world and that he was using his magic to supress another form of magic that is going to destroy the guild. It looks like his magic is weakening and that the guild may end up destroyed but he wants to take Wendy away that harm immediatly.
