Winter. Right in now Portugal... in other words, the last few year there is drought and you almost don't get any rain during winter. Well... there is snow in the mountains but that don't count.

I love rain; doesn't that make me some sort of depressing person?
I just find there isn't a better feeling than sitting out on the veranda under a tin roof listening to the rain; so calming. So I have to say I prefer winter to any other seasons.

Let's see, my choices over here in Singapore are between:
1) Hot and sticky 2) Hot, wet and sticky Hmm.... Now, if I were to give a theoretical answer, I'd choose autumn over the other three — especially if I were in places like New England or Japan, for example, where trees burst into brilliant shades of gold, bronze and red. As a student, I'd have to say summer. In general, I'd say autumn as well. |

Both summer and winter are too extreme for me. It's just too hot or too cold. Nothing in between. That's why I like spring and autumn, but since there's only one option in the poll so far, I'll go with spring.

Summer or Winter - can't decide really
I love the sun. Chilling on my terrace, going for a nice walk with my puppy, riding the bike with my friends. And of course the ice cream! Also my skin is the smoothest when it gets a lot of sunlight XD And then there's the winter. The one with christmas love all over the place and fluffy snow ... not the one with simply brown snowish mud and rainy days, and agh the cold!! D: It's only supposed to be cold when there's snow!!! >.< I'll never be too old for a snowball fight. Christmas is a real strong point for winter, since I love the mood and the baking. Also - NEW YEARS! Blowing stuff up and drinking, hell yeah! So ... even so I like falling leaves and the change of scenery in spring, they do consist mostly of horrid weather and no proper activities. I hate rain since I always forget my umbrella. It has it's special charm and playig in the rain is fun, but I don't like the mud that goes along with it and becoming wet when going from point A to B. |

Going to the mountains during summer is great. You can stay sleeping under the trees I try to not stay under the sun for hours, but going to swim / to the beach is nice too (in late afternoon, that's the best). Last edited by Narona; 2010-02-20 at 14:23. |

I'm part of the complaining Singaporeans of this forum. I cannot even have an idea of what could be my favourite season because I have no experience of any except summer.
But I think I will love winter the most, hopefully if there's any good coming out of Global Warming, make it snow in Singapore for a bit.

I miss Winter. They don't have Winter here in the Philippines. The mere mention or picture of Winter or snow or snowball or snowman would bring back New York memories of after school snowball fights.

Singapore and Houston, Tx seem to have a fair amount in common.... mosquitoes, alligators, swamps - and two seasons: warm and muggy, hot and muggy; thunderstorms at a whim.

I really liked winter growing up near San Francisco. Those wet, rainy days had a deep impression on me when I was younger, and I'd often stare out the window and just think about things as listened to the large rain drops splatter against the glass. Sometimes I found a walk home from school in the drenching rain with my friends proved the perfect medicine for a gloomy day. The cold weather would make everyone's cheeks flushed - especially if they were running around outside with me; and you could always open the door and inhale a breath of crisp air to jolt your body into awareness.
Compared to that, summers were just painful. |

i like Autumn. i always prefer gold, bronze and red trees to cherry blossoms.
Cherry blossoms are beautiful, but that makes me always sad and hurry because the season is when things start in Japan, and reminds me of the school days of Spring in that i had to be used to the new days. I am rare because almost all jp people love Sakura
