ep 1 was pretty decent. My hope is that this is better than season 2, i absolutely hated it. Also hope they dont force push becky on us this time as well. Rather see more of gaul, milhi, and eclair again.

Having now gone back and watched most of season 2 and parts of season 1, I can say with some certainty that, despite the fact that there are several parts that are flashier, in my opinion the coolest scene in the entire series is Yukki and D'Arquien facing off against the demon sword near the end of season 1.

Stop that. Becky is a good person and has been in the series since the beginning. She is not responsible for the change of tone in season 2, and does not deserve spite.

I just dont see the point in doing a show with a bunch of magic using animal girls, that also introduces 2 love interests of said animal ppl, just to force a normal boring character like becky on us in season 2. She isnt a bad character its just when i tune into watch this genre its not to watch the boring/normal childhood friend being empowered with bs plot devices to make her as strong as all the other characters while never actually having to earn or train for it.

I think it's better than not getting her involved at all, given that she's still one of Cinque's childhood friends/love interests, and leaving her out of the picture while he goes flirting with all the girls in Flognarde would be extremely unfair towards her.

Becky already had her spotline and she will not have much to do this season, as I predicted before now it will go more for Nanami instead (and I was right!).

Just hope it will correct other flaws from S2 that is Eclaire being copletely turned into background character from one of main love interests.

I'd rather seen her stay as support/background character. I actually was disappointed with how much milhi was pushed backed same with eclaire. Focused too much on becky for my taste.

So I'm with yeah tenzen, i dont mind some plot advances for nanami as long as that dont repeat the same mistakes they did with season 2

While I do enjoy Becky and her card-style magic (seriously, card mages are rare despite their awesomeness), we've had plenty of Becky last season. What last season was almost completely devoid of, however, was Nanami's adventures in Gallete with Leo, Gaul and the idiot trio. I want more of that.

Some of the other girls like Cinque, right? I think Noir does. But it is really just Milhi, Eclaire, and Becky who are the main love interests for Cinque, correct? I'm not leaving out anyone? Didn't watch seasons 1 and 2 since season 2 aired.

Everybody loves Cinque. Seriously, he has shipping with nearly every character in the entire show, including the other two heroes who have entire countries for harems.

Honestly, I'm not just into several of the females in this series. I like some of the guys, too. ^///^ My favorites are Isuka (Brioche's brother) and Loran (Eclair's brother). Bernard and Gaul are good, too. Oh, Callaway from Pastiage is good, too.

I think every Dog Days fan's dream is to be transported off this shitty planet and over to the wonderful world of Flognarde and have themselves a kemonomimi harem.

It certainly seems like everyone likes Cinque to a varying degree. The guy is pretty darn popular

I'd say for prominent romantic prospects it would be those four. I'm on the fence with Nanami since she hasn't quite had that focus yet. At the very least they've given some significant focus to the feelings of Milhi, Eclair, and Becky. They've all gotten some episodes focusing on how they feel. One of those in this third season could bring Nanami up there with them.

Nanami and Cinque are cousins, so their closeness is more familial in nature. The idiot trio sees him more as a fun guy to hang around with. Yuki... really treats him more as a little brother of sorts. Rico just wants to play games with him.

So I'd say the main ships for actual romance shipping are Milhi, Eclair and Becky.

Well, if Nanami and Cinque are cousins, I would guess she won't be a love interest. You never know, though, incestuous romances and relationships are rather common in anime.

Well, for one thing, I don't remember the show too clearly and don't remember many details. I only watched season 1 and season 2 once, and that was back in 2012 when Dog Days 2 aired. Secondly, apparently it is up for debate about the nature of the relationship between Yuki and Cinque. Just as an example, Keroko, the person I just quoted, believes their relationship is more of a friendship rather than Yuki being a romantic interest for Cinque.
