Bichunmu ( Flying Sky Dance ) by Kim, He-Lin ( It is a Korean Manwha )

H2: Adachi Mitusru - the scene when Hikari waves her mother goodbye as the sun comes down while playing catch with Hero.

Original Gundam Series, especially the 3rd movie, 'Meguri Ai Sora': Some of the death scenes made big impressions.

Dog of Flanders ( From World Masterpiece Theater ) : I was very young then.

Grave of the Fireflies
Naruto (when Haku dies and Zabusa is devastated)
FMA (WHen Hughes dies and his girl is like keeps telling her mom that papa has work to do)
Soukyuu no fafner-the right of left (movie)
Fruits Basket (some parts of the manga is really tearbreaking)

I'm currently watching NGE and KNGE and I've heard that both of them brings teirs to the eyes. I'll just have to see for myself

That was so sad, because you felt that the Elric brothers could have done something. Nina was just so adorable and to have that happen was crushing.

Of course, I remember Haku's death. I think that was the first time I cried. And when Hughes dies. The funeral scene was so heartbreaking with the wife and daughter. I haven't seen the Fafner movie yet, nor have I read the Fruits Basket manga. I should see both of them.

Here's one that I don't think anyone's mentioned....ELFEN LIED.

There are quite a lot of really sad moments it there for a 13 episode anime.

Just try to look past all the violence and nudity first.

Elfen Lied is not THAT sad. Sure, its no fairytale but it doesnt meddle with emotions that hard.

The manga does so more than the anime. The ending brought tears to my eyes.

And Suzuno and Tatara from Fushiji Yuugi, seperated in life but united in death.
