Whoa, what the heck?

I was just watching some Higurashi AMVs, and I noticed something interesting. During the whole scene were Mion and Rena are showing Keiichi around, Mion is dressed...oddly. Her t-shirt is white, her cuffs and collar are pink, her sling is purple, her jacket is green, and her pants are yellow. I'm certain I've never noticed this before...What on earth is going on?O_O

It's a porno movie. They just put in some story elements to give them an excuse for banging Rena, Mion, Satoko, and Rika.

They've done it before for Haruhi (Suzumiya Hahiru no Yuutsu), Fate/Stay Night (Faith/Stay Knight), and Maria-sama ga Miteru (Maria-sama ga Miteiru).

Good gosh, that higurasi movie PROnMOTION was terribly. I laughed, its so corny...Especially the scene when Keiichi has the bat, starts hitting. Maybe they replace the killing scenes with rape.

Does both Mion and Shion work? or only Shion? On the other hand do you think that Shion is present in every story arc? Does anyone realize that Shion has not even once go berserk on Rena? Also at the end of one second arc you know how Shion claims that she has taken care of everyone? I think she forgot Rena on her list or perhaps there is a reason behind it??

During Meakashi-hen, Shion's first encounter with Rena gave her a fright. In particular, Rena's ability to see through people's lies gave Shion the feeling that her deceptions and schemes cannot win against Rena. But since Rena never presented herself as a threat to Shion, Shion simply kept her distance from Rena as well.

Hence, at the end of Meakashi-hen, Rena remained one of the few people Shion didn't really have any grudge against.

As for the Iri thing, if you're talking about a maid fetish virus, then yeah. Otherwise, I'll just leave it as "unconfirmed"

Spoiler for confirmation from mainly meakashi:

-Both sonozaki sisters have a job. (Mion has a part time job)
-The fact you can see shion or not doesn't mean that the characters don't meet each other. as for example, while shion's presence is not blatant in onikakushi, it explain some weird things with mion.
-It is normal, since Rena isn't related at all in her revenge for Satoshi. mainly, only the Gosanke and Satoko are the "problem" for shion. Keiichi got involved, since his deep connection with Mion.
and another fact is : Rena probably scared the crap of Shion, since she is pretty much sensitive to lies, and she could know more thing she actually look like.

The Q&A thread says that his real identity is a scientist reasearching a cure for some virus. Also it is said that anything regarding the bad-guy's aim to control aliens, revive parasites, etc. have been proven false. So if this is the case then whatever the "camera-man" is doing won't get in the way.

Maybe he is just a passerby who just happened to be the perfect target and that killing him is required to trigger an event to make people believe that Oyashiro-sama exists and that this "God" is not to be intimidated or something??
If this is the case then the sacrafice could have been anyone and not just the "camera-man" right? Otherwise what would make the bad-guy's life difficult if he/she kept the "camera-man" alive?

please, be aware that the given thread has its only purpose to discuss about the truth, while having every clues and hints from the whole game, including the solid solutions from the last 2 arcs. So be aware that you will most likely be spoiled to death, beyond salvation once you got in there. suffice to say, it is the best place to get the big spoilerish questions answered.

No she doesn't. no one knows about Hanyuu's existence except rika. there is only 1 exception though : whenever someone is in a advanced stage of madness, they begins to hear her footsteps and sometimes her voice

Spoiler for Onikakushi/Tatarigoroshi/Meakashi:

Satoshi is just a classmate/friend, which has a special bound with her, due his slow descent into "oyashiro-sama's curse". Basically, Rena thinks they are pretty much alike, since they experienced the same things. (footsteps, the impression of someone following you and looking at you, etc)

this is pretty much answered in various instances.

They have the same eye color.
as for the second question, there is absolutely no way to determine who is who with the physical traits (except maybe the tatoo).
the only way to determine who is who is the personality. while mion and shion knows each other pretty well and can mimic easely the other's personality, there are still some hints to determine if "Xion" is an impostor.

no, you didn't get it right.
Basically, there isn't any choice in Higurashi, except 2, which doesn't have any impact on the plot.
What you just have to do is... click, read, click, read. nothing more, nothing less.

Therefor, you don't "play" a character, but rather, you can read what the characters senses, feels, thinks, etc.
