Do you know what that is in pinyin? I know these words before but I forgot it all since I moved to Canada.

I just know last word is Quan (fist). The second one is SOOO familiar but I can't remember.

If I am not wrong it is "yong chun quan". It is in the unsimplified characters....I learned simplified all my life.

It refers to Wing Chun

Now... I'm not sure why it would be on a Chinese food container... Must be a joke.

Didn't realise that Wing Chun is spelt like that. The Chinese food container must have been a training tool for Bruce Lee wannabes to bust open with just 2 fingers.

See, it's a lot less humorous if it's something relatively normal like that. I was hoping he got the Chinese version of MSG tattooed on his arm. Now that would've been humorous.

That last one actually means "Your mum is a public bus"; calling a female a bus is bad enough, but PUBLIC bus?. Double the insult.

Stop being a wuss, none of those characters have simplified versions except "yong" which is only slightly modified.

It's stupid, I don't see why anyone would not learn Traditional since once you know those the simplified ones are really easy to pick up.

Haha, that one was pretty good. I liked the random 成語 they threw in.

But I don't want to learn traditional! It is so old-fashioned!

Actually, after doublechecking chun and quan are the same in traditional and simplified. As for yong (eternity), the simplfied version does not have the "yan" (meaning tone in Chinese) side-character on its left, so it should be traditional.

Hmph, call me elitist but I can't stand to look at simplified characters, they look...neutered.

The "yong" in Traditional has a complex "yan" radical, whereas the bastardized simplified version has a "kou" radical. The "yong" you were looking at has only one form, and it means "forever" whereas the one we're dealing with here means "to sing", hence the "yan" radical.
