There's no competition here. I put the pics up only cos a user was interested in in seeing some pics a few posts back. So not sure why you used the word rival. But nice work on the 1/144 Scale build. Personally though I prefer to stay away from 1/144 builds, I find the MG builds more fun to work on.

Jaycee's unicorn is really nice, which paint did you use to paint the thrusters? For me, the best paints are the ones you can use in more than one model (and silver and gold thrusters is a must).
That 1/144 Nu Gundam is just beautiful, if a little overdone with decals. Wonder how they did all that stuff (like how they make those custom decals, which top coat was used, etc) |

Thanks. The metal thrusters aren't painted. They're actually metal thrusters. I had to mod the parts to make them fit. Had a bit of a problem as they were so huge compared to the normal one's in the kit.
Anyhow here's the rest of the pics I promised earlier I'd upload. Enjoy guys! Last edited by JayCee; 2009-04-20 at 14:00. |

@Jaycee Excellent photos, and a well-done Unicorn to boot. Unfortunately my Sinaju is nowhere near done otherwise I'll volunteer it for a couple of poses.

Nice Unicorns JayCee and CrackerJack. One on my list to do later on, but JayCee with the metal thrusters im trying to find them as a detail package or i guess i make them on my own but have no clue where to start. Any idea's or if you did purchase them. And where?
I just finished the airbrushing on some parts on my Civilian Astray. Color i used is a Desert Yellow. With the other parts it will be Olive green and Bright Orange. |

Also to answer ryanvamp about general custom decals. If you don't have the printing facility to make you're own. The dude that runs "Samuel's decals" can print you custom made decals for you alongside pre-done decals on his site. Just send him images and specs how you want it done or if out of ideas can ask him to come up with something. Hope that helps. @Kai00 Is that Sinaju your's or your friends? The gloss finish is done very well. To be honest. I didn't have fun doing the Unicorn. The decals really was a pain in the ass. Funnily enough the dry transfers were less of a pain compared to the normal stickers that was supplied. |
