That's also what started the "OH SHIT RIBBONS PILOTS THE 0 GUNDAM" thing.
What LoweGear was referring to was what MakubeX2 posted regarding what Ribbons and Amuro said, not who played them. He didn't post a translation though, which is why LoweGear was confused.

Babelfish gives this:
"Therefore such phrasing ability is small, is" for this "そういう物言いだから器量が小さいのさ"

The comparison with Setsuna is not really valid - Setsuna underwent 2 years of training specifically to pilot a Gundam. Saji is operating a forklift. I don't think the later requires extensive training and would be very helpful in piloting a gundam (then again it takes 2 sticks to pilot both apparently, so ...)
Saji underwent 4 years of training to accomplish his dream.
Why are people comparing Clannad to Gundam 00?

That ending was nothing short of beautiful...I nearly cried. Nearly. Haven't in years, won't cry over an anime or a book. Ever. But if I have to say, G00 for some reason takes the cake for being the most emotionally gripping gundam since Endless Waltz--I guess it's really the music...white reflection did it for EW, Daybreak's Bell after all that death did it here as some sort of catharsis.

But after that, I wonder what is so "mission incomplete" about the ending...the world is united and at peace, which is what Aeolia Schenberg wanted to begin with. Unless Amuro feels like destroying the peace or whatnot, I see the Gundam 00 (G00's Wing-Zero as far as I'm concerned) as EXTREMELY out of place since these mid-series gundams are brought about only as a result of some dire consequence, but so far, everything that Celestial Being originally wanted HAS BEEN ACHIEVED.

Though I have to say...LMFAO @ Alejandro Corner...

"This was the Corner family's desire!"
"And this obsession is why you're still a small insignificant little man."

OWNED. OWNED OWNED OWNED OWNED.

I'm not sure whether or not we'll see Tieria or Setsuna again...heck, if Setsuna were actually to have died right then and there, it would probably be a more gripping death scene than Lockon's (assuming either of them are dead...since I'm pretty sure that neither VA is getting released), and it would allow G00 to be piloted by someone else.

I'm just not sure WHY the Gundam 00 would need to be piloted to begin with though--there is literally NO reason to do so if the world has been peaceful for four years.

Though what was that Gundam flying that Saji saw? Exia's GN drive was removed, Tieria jettisoned Virtue's/Nadleeh's, Dynames wouldn't fly again without Lockon...was it Allelujah off on a joyride in Kyrios?

Speaking of whom...HAllelujah (it'll be his name from now on...capital H and A)...is he now the most overpowered most badass pilot in the entire G00verse? It'll be cool if he gets some form of Gundam 00-type upgrade and gets the real G00verse's version of the Wing Zero.

Not sure what he wants with Soma/Marie but eh...at least it's something to go on.

But frankly, I think I'd be happy if they started with a clean slate of new Meisters and left the original survivors as mentors/higher powers and did what GSD tried to do but utterly failed (since Shinn utterly phailed as a main character)

Absolutely amazing final episode--hopefully we'll see more greatness in 6 months!

Hm, indeed - 4 years to Setsuna's 2 years. Too bad whatever "training" he underwent (most of which would have been intellectual material i assume) don't have much to do with piloting a war machine.

I am not really sure, but i would like to see this trend cease. There is next to none (or make it none) ground for comparison of these two vastly different shows and serves as little besides arm-waving of fans of the respective shows. This is not the thread for it - take such discussions to PMs.

One thing I didn't get why was Rie Kugimiya's seiyuu talking with Marina when we saw Shirin Bakhtiar leaving Marina? Or did I miss something.

I've watched this scene like 20 times. Seriously! It's up there in my list of greatest anime fights ever. I somewhat reminds me of the first Raoh Kenshiro fight.
"We are the most skilled fighters ever, but let's just throw technique out of the window and kill each other!" What happened to the technique!! Just a slug fest! but figgin awesome!!!! I'm going to watch it again just to make sure.

As for the GN Drive powering one beam saber, I think when a flag transforms a part that is semi symbolic of an engine moves to the arm, probably making it look like it's only powering the beam saber, but it probably give it extra boost for when it's in flight mode too.

I wished they gave the time spent on the timeskip on the battle scenes instead. It was too short for me for a last battle (Graham needs a mask to become much better >_<).

I just can't see Ali as the best pilot after what other pilots have shown after that.

I just don't think some people understand the level of ease inwhich Ali pilots...Al-Hal have to fight with one another, and are willing to kill themselves if need be for the win (Taking off your helmet in space, Kamikaze styled attacking)...Graham, as much as I love him as my favorite character, will sacrifice his skills for the poetry of the fight...Ali on the other hand, respects death as much as he gives it (Hence him still being alive after so much carnage)...I can't let my hate for Ali override my respect for his MS piloting ability...What he did in Zwei was amazing to me...Lockon has had Dynames for 2 years, and Ali had Zwei for what? 2 days??? Ali was piloting Zwei like he didn't even need anymore quarters to win the game...Taking into perspective his ability to overmatch the Gundams in skill alone all thru-out the series, I think he exhibits the most natural piloting skills in the series...Ali dodging Dynames' crotch rockets might be my favorite manuever all series that no one talks about...Again I will say to watch ep 23 again...WATCH ALI THE WHOLE TIME IGNORING LOCKON...Ali was NEVER at a decided disadvantage...He was playing around at so many points in that fight, it's not even funny... All Lockon did (In his incredible revenge laced tirade) was slice off Zwei's arm...Zwei still had his fangs and beam gun, enuff for Ali to still fight...Now he did get OWNED by a nintendo powergun, but when you're still alive and the other guys is dead, who really got OWNED?? My power rankings are based on intangibles I see aswell as pure ability and MS...

Spoiler for Read this post right before you watch Ali vs. Lockon fight again:

Ask and you shall recieve...

I thought it was awesome how Alleh-Halleh finally combined to be one...Fighting both Soma and Sergei was tuff...I loved how he did the whole shonen-samurai thing when he stood on that asteroid talking $hit to Soma before he pwned her...I honestly thought Sergei was gonna bite it, but it's good to see the oldtype making it thru...Soma still has alot to learn...She has been too arrogant as of late, and for a soopa-soilder she seems to have too much of an opinion while fighting instead of a cold focus...She'll learn in time...Suffice it to say I was pleased with them finally combining and showing their true power...I'm not gonna pretend like Ali is much higher than Alleh-Halleh, I just think he has a weird natural ability for piloting various suits with ease...I mean what would Alleh-Halleh's ranking be if he piloted an ENACT?? You see my point? Ali has shown natural adaptability in every suit he pilots, making him stronger in my view...He doesn't have to have a Gundam to win...

You might be right...One gripe I did have about the battle was that I wanted to see the GN FLAG in flight mode before it transformed...And unlike some I saw it like you aswell...Graham had a deathwish...It wasn't about skillfully taking down the Gundam this time, it was about a destined finality...

Personally, with Graham's very disappointing brawl with Setsuna in 25, I think it's pretty safe to say Ali > all in cold, hard skill at this point.

Plus, he kicks ass in hand to hand combat and has a very fast draw. Perfect soldier, GO!

Well Ali has been killing $hit for years...Brainwashing kids to kill their parents, assasinating world leaders like apple-pie, even F'ing up entire nations with his KPSA squad...He's by far the most hardened soilder//mercenary in the universe...But don't let the smooth taste fool you, I think Graham has just as much skill as Ali, it's just that Graham doesn't have any regard for his own life at times...And he also fights for reasons that have nothing to do with just win or lose (Like Ali does)...Ali has a killer-instinct that equally matches his "don't get killed" instincts ...Graham will gladly die if he gets the challenge of his lifetime...Hell that means more than winning to him, which is why I LOVE him^^...Honestly most of my favorite characters in Gundam possess the same features as Graham fortunatley//unfortunatley...

The fight between Graham and Setsuna has been one of the best final fights in Gundam ever. (IMO of course) That awesome music as the GN Flag appears, and Graham telling Setsuna over the radio "I'm going to avenge Howard and Darryl with my GN Flag" was, for lack of better words, ****ing epic.

Anyways, it seems like CB is preparing for more interventions (why else build new Gundams?). Wang probably wants to take over or something, besides that there is Ribbons...I guess next season will be UN vs CB vs Innovators? O_o

United nation turn to be Earth Federation

Earth Federation Peacekeep Force? E.F.P.F ,is this short name right? or the same as in Gundam UC, E.F.S.F?

Innovators, I guess they are Gene-Modified human and they show absolutely loyalty to Ribbon. Ribbon can control them through VEDA. And also Ribbon's final purpose is to rebulid the whole human society, destroy normal nature human, replace them with Gene-Modified human. Finally, construct a computer(VEDA) controlled society, every Gene-Modified human be loyal to the NEW GOD in this NEW WORLD------Ribbon.That is also the way to eradicate the WAR.

Just My imagination about Season two.

And also ,director, please let Lockon back.

Any number of reasons. Do you think the Tamil rebels from episode two have quit wanting to have their homes back? Do you think that the Powers really just decided "hey, let's surrender to the world government forever, instead of using it to further our own goals"?

There's also other possibilities, like jumpstarting human expansion into space.

Or, and this is most important, was Professor Eifman just that prophetic? He certainly saw past the basis of CB's claims and into their endgame pretty early on.

Great episode overall to conclude the series. So it was all Libbons' doing. What a cunning and cruel manipulator. All the nations (326) are united as one force, which sounds very much like the current EU. I was shocked that Patrick and Ali are still alive after the timeskip. Patrick I know for comic relief and Ali for being the bad@$$ soldier that he is (like Solid Snake but more twisted). The director seems to take a cue from Slayers Next.

Looks like the current Gundam Meisters are gone and we'll get some replacements then. Graham survived the battle with Setsuna and wears a samurai's oni mask, so Setsuna should've survived as well since Exia's GN Drive will be installed in the 00 Gundam. Feldt would be an interesting choice for a Meister since her parents were Meisters and she does seem to have that Haro. I was wondering about that Tieria clone with Lockon's hairstyle, as the voice sounds more feminine.
