Huh? Really? The Description of Ignition Boost ACTUALLY told us that "The gas is pressurized in a chamber before released to the nozzle", so they're the same tat they need to charge.

Maybe you can make that Over Boost is 'slower' than Ignition Boost, which in turn is 'slower' than Quick Boost. Slower in acceleration, but has longer duration (for example, OB = 6 s for 25% extra thrust, IB = 3 s for 50% extra thrust , and QB =0.6 s for 75% extra thrust etc.)

The small extra speed of Over Boost still allow some maneuver but not much, while Ignition Boost mean flying brick.

Then again, the Minerva could OB for 20 seconds before it's power level -touches- the red zone.

Don't own a copy of AC but videos and my short experience teach me that OB requires a visible charge time where-in the unit has to stabilize itself first. IB doesn't require such amount of preparation, perhaps only lowered performance of the boosters while the gas pressurization is going on(judging from the anime). QB is always the fastest out of the three because it only happens in a moment because it has to push the whole mass of the unit and the pilot a fair distance with only a burn time of less than a second(perhaps you can say it's like more powerful ignition boost?). AC doesn't give me many specifics on how their tech works so I can't make any proper comparisons.

Yes, it was never specified how long Ignition Boost firing Duration is, but based on the Anime, it's about 4-5 second (with 2 second charge time). :3

For strange reason, QB in AC DOUBLES the speed instantly, while Over Boost gave us realistically increasing speed. I changed it somewhat because that's unrealistic (the g-force would be too high).

(And now we took over FF thread with fanon technology... does it even allowed? I'm quite paranoid after Nanoha FF thread is closed

)

Well we're discussing tech from 2 franchises. Basically crossover, something very common in FF. If they close it then they don't know what they're doing. Unless this thread was made specifically for posting fiction works @_@(still haven't done anything for Houki and Rin)

My speculation on the three boosts.

OB = a system that is specially pressurizes propellant and forces the pressurized mass out.

IB = A system that pressurizes propellant and lets it release through natural pressure stabilization.

QB = multiple pressurized chambers which switch around with each other and are automatically refilled(from the main source) after use.

It was the Quick Boost that forcing the smaller amount of mass for short duration but very high extra thrust.

Ichika mentions that IB only works for a short period of time and is a technique rather than an actual piece of technology. OB is an actual piece of technology.

EDIT: Would PT be interested in someone who can recreate EVERYTHING Tabane can make? Or at least knows all of what Tabane knows?
