i love assassin creed franchise from first one to brotherhood but revelation not good i mean the setting u know tower defense sucked


but this one was good surprising in my way but game is glitches glory i seen 10 glitches so far keep piling up.......


last glitch i saw was tonight luck number 10......... u know trade Cartage i saw two horse only Sign on min map indicated it was there. i got closer look like it been wreak then i saw it up close upside down coming towards me and then on it side then on other side flipping around.... that the major one


others where character eyes closed or when they speaking the mouth dont move and attacking enemy & frozen in mid air

I hear a lot of people complain about Tower defense. The only time I ever played it was during the tutorial on it. I don't think my towers were ever really threatened.

This is just the latest in a long line of technical bullshit problems that has been bugging me for the last two days.

Does anybody know how to fix this? I'm at the end of my rope with this nonsense...

Yea I would have to agree that despite my love this game is indeed very glitch ridden I'm almost positive beta testing was skipped altogether in order to get this out as early as possible.

The only real bug I encountered was when you have to protect Revere and the other guy who's name I can't remember, it didn't matter who the enemy attacked, all the incoming damage went to Revere's HP bar.

Well I had manage to solve my problem... Who would have thought that a goddamn DLC actually counts as important? Bah whatever...

I don't really have any major bug, just mostly glitches but there was one freaky incident where I was carrying a keg of gunpowder and I saw my foot twist in a bad way- seconds later the entire screen crash and gone white and I heard loud animal screams at MAX in-game volume

I saw a video posted somewhere of a similar bug with regards to the loud noises. Really weird.

Just beat the game last night.

Not sure what to think of it quite yet, overall. It had it's moments, but I do agree with the reviews that they tried to force too much into one game. The ending felt really rushed, and the last "Present Day" mission was beyond ridiculous.

I would've loved to have a game of just Haytham! I loved how his character was written, especially his dry sense of humor. Plus,

it would be awesome to have an AC game where you play the entire way through and the ending of the entire game (rather than just a few sequences) is that you just played as a Templar for 40+ hours.

The music was good again. Listening to the soundtrack now that I've beat the game. It's not Michael Giacchino-Medal of Honor great, but the AC series has had some of the best music I've heard in a long time from video games.

I didn't experience too many of the glitches people talked about. There were a few glitches I experienced in the Underground. One room in New York's underground had massive sheering problems when I jumped into the water near an exit. I also rounded a corner (maybe in New York's underground) and there was a big hole in the rock face through which I could see the environment. Other than that, I never had any of the major sound or video glitches, as far as I recall.

I recently got a break from a rather annoying string of events in private life and a good friend of mine was gracious enough to let me play AC3 on his PC - at least, the main storyline...haven't tested the MP. I finished the game in roughly four days (only have roughly half of the side quests fulfilled, though), and...well, there are good and bad things.

So...before anything, I must confess I only completed two AC games until now: AC2 and AC2B. I never finished my borrowed copy of AC2R because it just couldn't win me over; the historical settings, the mechanics just didn't click with me. After great consideration, I decided AC3 offered (at least on paper, at that moment) more than the (IMHO) lackluster AC2R and gave it a try.


Oh, you don't like walls of text? Too bad. So sad. And here goes:

Spoiler for Tree climbing:

The tree-scaling ability is a VERY welcome addition, especially now that trees stand in place of the tightly-packed buildings routinely met in the previous games. They're very handy when you need to get to higher grounds (Frontier, Davenport Homestead) without having to make overly lengthy detours.

Spoiler for Landscapes:

The landscape is simply...gorgeous. I had some reticence (not a lot of monuments compared to say, Rome or Venice) until early this week, but that was quietly slipped under the rug after gazing upon the great plains and forests of the Frontier. The experience was almost up there with Skyrim.

Spoiler for Hunting:

Eliciting further parallels with the aforementioned Skyrim, the wildlife hunting feature can be addictive, especially if you hit a particularly rich area. I found myself committing mass beaver genocide (the wolves probably think of me as being a more bloodthirsty murderer than either Hitler, Attila or Mao Zedong) while trying to look for the entrance to a Peg Leg trinket cave...but, otherwise, I didn't care much for it. It's just that when you see so many animals in your immediate vicinity, you get Jeffrey Dahmer-like thoughts. XD Gotta skin 'em all!

Spoiler for Homestead missions:

The Homestead missions are endearing in their own sense (you are building some sort of one big family, after all) and are an interesting spin on the Assassin stronghold rebuilding process, encountered in previous AC games. It's just a pity that having to do all these missions all is pretty much required in order to unlock and craft certain gameplay-improving devices (like the twin holsters)...but, at the same time, they distract you from the main storyline a lil' too much. The Homestead system is also quite complex, almost as if Ubisoft had decided to concentrate on that instead of the storyline.

Spoiler for Cities:

The colonies are very picturesque. I remember arriving at the burnt-out part of New York in the middle of the night and gaping at the tableau. "Dang that's different," I thought. I was skeptical at first, because I knew it wouldn't be the same thing as with AC2 and AC2B, where scaling and roof running was a very streamlined and speedy process, but by losing that ease of access, we players received greater immersion and realism.

Spoiler for Parkour:

I enjoyed roof-running in AC2 and AC2B, but didn't in AC3. The high number of guards and the omnipresence of ranged weapons just made it a very perilous, if not downright foolish endeavor. I miss climbing and running on roofs, stabbing roof patrols in the back before taking off again without missing a beat. This is pretty much a forlorn dream in AC3.

Spoiler for So many guards:

Damn. So many of them. Got killed so many times my hair just about turned white from despair. And those axe-wielding Scots are pure murder. Can't attack them without getting headbutted or socked in the face (having a heavy axe does the trick, though - at the risk of leaving the said weapon inadvertently embedded in a corpse and suddenly finding yourself with only the hidden blade to fight with). And the disarm option seems to have been ditched. T_T Quite a source of frustration - I remember one open conflict moment, wherein a mounted officer tried to kill me, but I shot him while his subordinates were busy surrounding the premises...and, for some reason, the freed horse decided it liked me, RAN towards me and pinned me against a wall...leaving me utterly unable to counter and attack because of the living obstruction. I never felt so hopeless until then (and the horse kept kicking, thus shoving me back and preventing me from attacking/parrying). And if you ever get caught in a pinch by TWO patrols...well, you're sh*t out of luck. By the time you're done with them, two OTHER patrols will have spawned next to you and joined the fight, leaving you exsanguinated and at death's door.

Spoiler for The notoriety/innocence and name-clearing system:

Why in the nine hells did Ubisoft overhaul that? I loved the (over)abundance of heralds and wanted posters in AC2 and AC2B and how easy it was to reach either...but the AC staff turned the system into a VERY perilous piece of depression-inducing trouble in AC3. The posters are no longer marked on the map and there are TONS of patrols between you and the town criers. And did Ubisoft mark the printer shops on the map, too, for your convenience? No, of course not - that'd be waaaay too easy. Better clue us nitwit player in by making the shop doors glow and ripple with the Animus wireframe stuff. That way, they're also very easy to spot when you're being hunted by a bunch of bloodthirsty, kilt-wearing, axe-wielding Scots and are only concentrating on how to get the hell out of dodge. Easy enough, right?[/sarcasm]

Spoiler for Enemy pursuit:

Speaking of being pursued...it feels as if Connor is much slower than Ezio (though the way he runs is less comical IMHO - Ezio almost seemed bow-legged at moments). I couldn't outrun my pursuers, even across open terrain (the fact that they had guns to stop me in my tracks also had something to do with that, I'm afraid). With them being quick on your tail, it's extremely hard to even REACH an area where you can hide, much less stuff yourself in a hideout without being spotted.

Spoiler for The fast-travel system:

I really appreciated the FTS system in AC2B, with the inclusion of Roman sewers network, and AC3 tried to do the same thing...but AGAIN turned a preexisting boon into a distressing affair. The Frontier only has four or five FTS beacons and the city...first, you need to discover the underground entrances (not an easy task)...and then you have to MF'ing navigate the godforsaken mazes. And God, did I get lost. And then got lost. And then got lost. And I still haven't found all exits.

Spoiler for AIs & NPCs:

Enemies are kinda harder this time (especially the Juggernauts), but I particularly like the counter warning system. Once you get the hang of it, you're good to go. As for the rest...watching the inhabitants going about is always fascinating and Ubisoft must be commended for managing such a high number of NPCs in certain scenes: like the retreat from Lexington, with all the militias crumbling under the incoming regulars as you ride through the landscape. You'd think the NPC fiesta would grind the game to a halt, but surprisingly it was a very smooth experience. The scale of those massive battles and the sheer number of participants made me humorously remember an event depicted in AC2: the battle for Forli. The liberation of a city, carried by less than two dozen NPCs and the player. XD In AC3, there are HUNDREDS of people, bee-yotch!

Spoiler for Quick-time events:

Ugh. I know QTEs were already present in AC2 and AC2B, but by principle I hate QTEs. At the beginning they were EXTREMELY annoying because I thought I had to mash the indicated button instead of merely pressing it once and letting the rest flow.

Spoiler for Collectible items:

The feathers are back, along with the trinkets, the latter of which are used to unlock more missions instead of mere capes or cosmetic outfits. Finding some of the peg leg trinket cave entrances was tricky, though: I can specifically think of two locations that were only accessible through nigh invisible paths and caused me to die too many times to count (and remember, for the continued sake of my sanity and self-esteem).

Spoiler for The main characters:

Yeah - loved the Haytham twist. The man is a very insensitive bastard and I was glad to see him go, though it seems some AC fans do actually like him. Connor, OTOH, is a pure idealist - it can grate on your nerves at certain moments, but you know he's doing the right thing.

Spoiler for An observation about some side characters:

I hate it when companies start inserting characters from the more obscure IPs of the same franchise. The Cross character almost appears to have been pulled out of nowhere; you really need to have played ALL downloadable contents, social games and read the comics/novels in order to know of his existence and past beforehand...and what they imply. Ubisoft should have introduced Cross way earlier than the second half of AC3...and given him WAY more flesh. They did a great job with Subject 16, giving him a great deal of focus and characterization in AC2R, but Cross...nah. He got the "Sorry, I gotta meet Sally at the bar tonight. 'Nother time, mate!" treatment.

Spoiler for The ending:

Very sad and bitter for Connor (see end of main storyline and the end of the Homestead missions), and just..."uh what? Okay - please stop the planet, I want to get off" for Desmond. I know Ubisoft has been hammering the idea of freedom above order into our brains during the entire game, but I felt an immense sense of waste and non-accomplishment when everything was said and done. It's downer after downer. And Desmond, even though his sacrifice DID save the world...it feels like he got the short end of the stick. Unless the ACTUAL theme of the game was about futility in the face of Destiny and the struggles that precede it...in that case, Ubisoft should be awarded a trophy.

All in all, yeah, I liked AC3 - there are good things, and others I can't reconcile with as much. I can only hope AC4 will improve the AC3 frame and make it an even more

Can't remember if Liberation had it's own thread, but...

Looks like Ubisoft is releasing Liberation for PC, 360, and PS3. I'll definitely want to pick this up. Didn't want a Vita just for Liberation.
