It's probably because the director thought that the more important part of the episode was Scrub Horizon and the bit about Rudy being one of them.

Well, to be fair, the Krusty fight was more side in the novels too. (I don't think that counts as a spoiler). Focusing on the drama leading up to Rudy's death makes more sense from a story-telling perspective.
I'll be honest though, I'm really hoping the OP's scene with Krusty and Isaac being back to back badasses actually happens. That'd be awesome.

Well, if kids lost their tank they would be quickly overhelmed and city would fall before arrival of reinforcements. Minori didn't finsihed that sentence.
But yeah, Krusty was clearly enjoying himself at most Last edited by Tenzen12; 2014-02-08 at 09:21. |

Are there no potions in this game? How come the only way to restore HP is via curing spells? Naotsugu drinks something which looks like a potion; I'm guessing it's an ether since they are trying to restore MP. Still when Touya's HP gauge is falling fast, it doesn't seem like there are any other curatives except spell-casting.

Oh god, this episode reminds me of having a gungho mage that ends up himself killed after going ahead of the tank (me). Unfortunately, there's no hot blood involved, just plain old lag.

Of course no surprise with Rundel, but still a great effort given by the guy. Of course does open the whole frightening concept of how powerful the people in this world can become. Could certainly lead to a frightening situation down the road.
But yeah things are usually not good when the mage has to tackle the enemies. In a bad state at that point . The situation was tight on both sides, but does certainly feel like they should have sent some backup with Minori's group. Though of course they didn't really have much to spare in the first place. Just too bad we didn't get to see enough of the larger battle. Even Nyanta and company didn't do that much.

I can't help but be disappointed by the episode.
Too much focus on the lowbies while the Crusty and Shiroe part of the war is basically skipped in couple scenes. Not 100% on this, but i don't think that the Sand Leaf was ever said to be that important part of the big picture strategy. Am i wrong or did they make it more important for the sake of drama? |
