Feels rushed they shorted Azezal's fight and rushed Ise vs Vali fight
damn even with only two volumes for 12 episode the whole season feels rushed

Really hope they green light two cour season 3 with vols 5,6 and 7 and can put a lot of short story as filler

Already the end of the season? Time sure does fly.

For the episode, I say it was overall a strong ending. Very intense battle, with Issei sticking to his character, which was very nice. I only wish there was more time at the end to sort of let things end more naturally rather than sort of just abruptly ending it. Other than that, classic awesome DxD.

For the season, I'd say a strong performance overall. A much more serious tone and feel this time around, with good character development for the ones who took the backseat in season one. Kiba and Akeno especially, they feel much more like relevant and interesting characters. As for Rias, even though her and Issei got a lot of development in season one, this season seemed to be lacking in any more, which sort of disappointed me.

Art and animation stayed consistent, and looked as nice as season one. Designs continue to look interesting and different.

However, the ending to season one felt a lot more thought out and well executed compared to this one. Also more cinematic compared to season two as well. But this ending still left us with an interesting "twist" of all the girls living with Issei. Has the harem finally begun to form for Issei? Sure, it has been for a while, but I feel as though this solidifies it a lot more.

The ecchi was as amazing and ground-breaking as ever. This season clearly shows why DxD is in a league of it's own when it comes to this. I can't really think of an instance of when ecchi seemed to be out of place or put at an "inappropriate" time. All seemed to be well executed.

Overall, I really liked the season as a whole. A lot of development, in both characters and story. New interesting additions to the cast add more depth and has expanded the world they're in. Great action, great comedy, and as usual, great ecchi. I'm just sad to see one of my favorite harems, anime in general, and characters go.

I give Highschool DxD New a 9/10.

My only question now is, when is season 3 going to start?

After watching this season, I like it more than the first. Not because there is more fanservice being shown, but Issei's dumb and silly situations are just funnier than usually this time around.

First season sold average of 9.5k per disk.
First Bluray/DVD is coming out in two days. I'm guessing it would sell like 9k.
Kore wa Zombie desuka first season sold like 3k(yes, not 4k) and got a second season.

I still say season 1 is still better.... The more complicated the story goes.. The more more it getting boring... All it see are dragons and boobs. Hope they'll not over use those again. Still I may give this season 8/10

You might as well stop watching from here on out then (assuming more seasons happen). There's only going to be more dragons and more boobs.

True but it also has awesome moments and character back story .
DXD only gets better so even if it have more dragons and boobs people should stick with it .

This show remains silly even during the most serious moments. The thought of Rias' boobs shrinking enraged Issei more than the thought of his parents getting killed

I'm not against a season three to see more of these lovely ladies' boobs.

I just finished season 2 and i already need a season 3. That last episode was really great. I don't even know where to start.

So let's see for the good point :
- Azazel balance breaker looked so awesome, especially with the black wing

. And that was a nice one shot on ex-leviathan-chan

- Akeno oppai!!!!

- Grafya and rias eyecatch

- Issei and Vali balance breaker were far better than in the novel.
- Issei power skyrocketing after the idea of Rias's breast shrinking

.
- Issei being badass after absorbing vali divine divinding.
- Akeno in casual cloth.
- OPPAI!!!

- Azazel bionic arm

. I love rocket punch.
- And for once not too much fan service

As for the bad point :
- the animation was a little cheap, especially during the battle between Vali and issei which deserved better.
- the episode (and the season as a whole) felt a little rushed.

It was better than the first in my oppinion, mainly because of a better story. And also better than what i expected. It just need to slow down on the fan service here and there and it would be perfect.

In the end it was a really good episode to end the season. Now make season 3 please

They also, in my opinion, butchered Kiba and Koneko's characters. Kiba comes off as a jock instead of a classic bishounen, and and Koneko comes off as just bored and nonchalant rather than emotionally stunted.

Good final episode though the fight could have been better. I thought it was a bit rushed.

But anyways, Azazel was a badass in this episode ... the way he just took out his arm without hesitation was boss. And I can't believe Issei got that worked up because of oppai xD Well, looks like he's rewarded with all the girls living in his home now.

Hope there will be a season 3! I need to start reading the LN.
