I think Mugi would rather try to fly in economy rather than first class... She doesn't like spoiling her friends too much, right?

Also they seemed to be playing around on the moving walkways...While Mugi had that pouty face, she seems to be clearly giggling in the next shot.

Now that I look at the trailer again, is the setting before or after their graduation? maybe someone could understand their dialogue about graduation.

But seeing them in their uniform, I assume that this is before their graduation

I get that it's pre-graduation because of the uniforms, but I thought they weren't going to go on the trip until they graduated?

I assume it will take place in between them taking their final exams and actually getting their diplomas, as that would fit the "still in high school" wording of the synopsis best, though I'm not sure how much time there is between these two events.

At the very least, they know they'll be graduating, so this trip is going to be held in celebration thereof.

Well they got the test results in the middle of February (14th I think), and hey graduate near the end of March I believe. So they have at least two week, and up to six weeks between these two events (someone with a better knowledge of "standard" Japanese school schedules might have a better lock on the date of the actual graduation).

Azusa would not be able to participate since there is an end term exam week at around the start of March. After that it's pretty much dependent on their own if they attend school or not unless they are severely short on class attendance.

Judging by their clothes, it is stil cold. I didn't recall when episode 27 puts them planning this trip. It could be in December even, but I can't think of a time Azusa would be free...even after the others graduate...she'd just keep right on moving into her senior year of high school (Is there even a break between school years in March-April?)

I wonder what Ui, Jun, Nodoka and Sawako are going to do. Will they just get some obligatory lines in the very beginning and end, or will there be some kind of subplot featuring them?

Very interesting. So they went location scouting as late as after the live event in February? Sounds like they were cutting it close.
I fully expect there to be some sort of concert scene in England, I can't think of any other reason for them to drag their instruments along (as seen in the trailer).
Having the story start out with school scenes and move on to England later on is not a particuarly great revelation, though I still think about the timing of things. Obviously the school scenes will take place prior to graduation, but will the trip...?
