As much as I would always recommend LOGH to anyone, can we not let this thread get off topic. There is an LOGH thread in the fansub forum so let's keep this strictly Macross related please.

Anyway, I have a hunch this will be the most action oriented episode since the first one. I can't wait to see what the Macross Quarter is capable of.

To me, one of the most iconic scenes in Macross is the "Daedalus Punch". You know those people who decry at the sight of Fighter-Mecha engaging in melee? Their brains would probably explode at the idea of Capital Ships meleeing.

Nah Battle Frontier is the same class as Battle 7 having a shotgun for a cannon.

SMS Macross Quarter as seen in the op has a main gun arm.

Looking forward to the Monster definitely and the clash of the juggernauts should there be one.

Hopefully the character animation picks up this episode. It has been pretty lackluster the previous episodes.

I can see how Legend of the Galactic Heroes is boring. If I could get an English copy of the novels, I'd probably read the book over the Anime. But it's not a bad show.

I have to ask, what is the reason for using battle axes instead of 'firearms' the majority of the time. Is it because they're afraid stray shots will end up setting something off? I can't remember if they ever explained that.

Ozma also forgot to 'bless' the medic when he told the rest of the squad they're not allowed to die.
Finally, destroids are walking deathtraps in Macross, unless you have a main character plot shield.

I seriously want to see the monster actually do some serious hurt. All we really get from it in all the series is it firing its massive cannons. I want to see it actually do more than vaporise an enemy mech.

The original destroid was indeed a crew served vehicle, but with the advance in technology, i don't think it's hard to nail it down to just the pilot now.

No point thinking about the details of the controls, after 15+ years, I'm still having a hard time figuring out how they move the arms in a valkyrie with just the two joystick configuration....

If the Monster shots down a flying Red i'll be surprised. Personally, I think it's best against large stationary targets.

Nah; I'm pretty sure we won't be hearing' what bout my star this ep(hopefully). She's in a gown. Would be really weird is she's singing that poppy'ish song wearing a long dress.
