Oh i dont mind waiting im just making sure that i am up to date as it were and didnt skip anything by chance and i thank people who take their time to translate the novels.

Spoiler for End is chapter 2:

I mean so far from what has been translated so far is that Chidori has shot Souske and Tessa but they are skill alive and Chibori is like the ultimate Whisper or something and with Leonard where they are taking over the world or soemthing. Am i right as to were i am in the story?

So I was wondering about the possibility of Souske having some type of hidden power and I began to think the possibilities and this is what I came up with (there may be possible spoilers so I put it in a spoiler window just to be safe).

It all began when I thought about the LDs ad their powers and the fact that Fairy Father (from what I heard) is the counter to LDs. Now I remember hearing that Whispered have Black Tech as we all know I hope but more specifically they know a lot in a certain field like one is specialized is AS tech and another is Submarine tech.

Know when I thought is I had an epiphany (sudden thought), what if not only do they specialize in a certain tech but also have certain characteristic of that tech also or powers parallel to the tech they are specialized in.

For example, anyone remember when Tessa goes to visit Jendi high to see Souske and Chidori? Remember when they go swimming? She was about to swim across the whole entire pull without coming back up for air! Hmmm what does this sound like? Oh idk maybe a submarine?  Also that fact she designed the de Danan which is a sub? Maybe Tessa is a Whispered that specialized in submarine tech (this might have not been mentioned in the chapters I have read but hey he knows). And since she is she also has the characteristics of a sub!

Now you might ask what does this have to do with Chidori and Sousuke? IM GETTING THERE JUST HOLD ON!

Now as we know Chidori is also a whispered but of what tech she is specialized in we don’t know. BUT! What if she was the one specialized in LD tech? Anyone remember when Sousuke first fights in the Arbalest and Chidori seems to suddenly know how the LD works? Well maybe because she is specialized in it? Another thought…when Chidori is in the ruins and shoots Tessa and Sousuke killing them but yet they are alive is seems like an allusion? Well you have to remember what a LD can do which is taking the thoughts of the operator and make them reality. Well when Chidori supposedly kills Sousuke and Tessa maybe her LD characteristics came out and she made the thought that Sousuke and Tessa were dead but make it an allusion to them so then they would not end up following her. This is possible? Hey who know this is a prediction…right?

Ok now for my theory about Sousuke’s hidden powers. Now I think Sousuke is the same age as Tessa and Chidori and that’s give the possibility that he is a whispered right? Well what if it is true that he is a whispered, well then what tech does he specialize in? I mean he could specialize in tanks or…oh I don’t know…Fairy Father tech?  Now you’re probably thinking this is a stretch, well remember Fairy Father is used to counter LDs and how it works is you have to doubt that something will happen and it will happen or vise versa. Well has anyone noticed that Sousuke always seem to mess something up because he was something to happen but it ends up not working? Also remember at the last episode of TSR anime where he suddenly get the Arbalests’ LD to work and he says sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t? Well maybe he thought that it wouldn’t work but it ends up working anyway. But hey this is a prediction…right?

So with this I think that it is possible that Sousuke has hidden powers and if it is true well then I think I can come up with more predictions but I think I have made enough theories for now.

P.S. btw sry if I came across as a know-it-all but I felt that this had to be said and I was pretty excited when typing it.

Some parts can work, but for those regarding NOT's sections, no chance in the hell.

Spoiler for my answers:

First off, Tessa indeed designed TDD in the first place, but her ability to swim well has nothing to do with Whispered's powers: How come a sub's captain can't swim well even without air? Such ability isn't unique either------anyone who knows how to swim can be trained to dive and swim without air, especially for lifesaving. In particular, I learned lifesaving before and it does require one to dive and swim underwater.

Second, it had been mentioned that each Whispered may have their own specialized part, that's for sure, so probably Chidori is indeed specialized upon LDS. But in recent developments it's mentioned that she's actually the "Whispering" that transmit BT to the world, so she may also be useful in other areas. As for the shooting part......You probably need to re-read my summaries or wait for further NOT translations.

Upon Sousuke, there's somehow a belief that maybe he has some special power, but appreantly he's not a Whispered------rather, from Tessa's words he maybe Whispered's saviours. Still he may actually has some hidden power in the stock......Also Fairy's Feather isn't his work, and it isn't countering LDS but to neutralize the effects------check the spoilers.
As for the LDS, it relies on the controller's emotions or mental status in order to function well. Almost all times where Arbalest activated the LDS because of dangerous situations or when Sousuke was angry enough, and probably from others' instructions. Oh, did I mention that Sousuke showed a distrust towards AL in the middle of TSR so that LDS doesn't work at all? At the last of TSR/DBD he fully trusted AL as well as knowing Chidori is alive which both gave him enough power to use LDS.

I guess that i do need to reread the whole NOT part because i guess i didnt get it but it seems like that there is a high chance that Souske will show some type of power we just dont know what yet (mostly likly later in NOT it seems).

But hey can i get an "A" for effort?

Well, Tessa says it very clearly, She wants to beleive that Sousuke is the Whispered's Savior. Im that sense, sousuke's special power is trying to free the Whispereds. Think of it this way, So far he has met a lot of Whispereds, either by coincidence, or because of his job, but either way they all are connected to him somehow. The whole "FAIRY FEATHER" power is a bit of a stretch, but maybe what you wanted to say is that Sousuke may have the power to neutralize the Whispered. In that sense, i think you are absolutely right. Which is probably one of the possible endings. Sousuke finding a way to remove the Whispers, thus, turning Tessa and Chidori into normal girls again.

That is what i wanted to say and you also cleared thing up a bit from what i said so. and i think this is also a possible ending.

Another possible ending i think though is if i remember right when Tessa is about to destroy the Whispering or w/e. Chidori thinks that even if they were to destroy it it would eventually come back so whats the point. So if Sousuke does save her what will prevent her from being possesed again? However Sousuke can maybe at least help Chidori live 2 lives, one as a whispered and another as a school girl. Now i understand that Sousuke may have the ability to get rid of the Whispered but it might be that he is able to surpress the powers i guess.

So i dont know what do you think?

Nah that is a long shot, He is not able to supress powers. We know this becuase even though Chidori has been with him for a long time, she has alread awoken her powers to the extent of working in Mechas already, as shown when Leonard gives her that laptop to work on them. ID say it is a more simpler issue, either let them live and remove all Whispers, or kill them as what happened to that girl in the Dessert.

I'm wondering is there anyone translating the short stories on the internet?

I checked yesasia, and looks like all of FMP novels in chinese are still in print, and I hope mum and hunt down a few for me when she goes Hong Kong at summer. Since I need some plans in the summer, I could translate a few interesting chapters, if I actually managed to read it. But my english is horrible, I can speak it fluently, but I fail at written english. Anyone willing to be an editor? -roll eyes-

Don't look forward to me saying that I'll translate, I'll end up doing half a chapter and get bored. I haven't even started reading toshokan sensou

Interestingly, the registration page seems to hate firefox and opera. And I got to use my most hated broswer...-roll eyes-

Oh someone actually translated the novels into chinese, and not just scanned the chinese novel. Thats all good, I can make it into traditional with the help of google. I had a quick look at the chinese translation, most of it seems fine.

When I say editor, you'll have to change my simple english into some 'prettier' english. I used to get Cs for my english essays and coursework. My friend absolutely hates to edit my english because it's so awful.

I'll see when I have time, it's currently exam month here. So I probally wouldn't have much time yet. I'll see when I can start.
