Kasuga alternates back and forth between being too passive... and acting liking a complete mad man. He comes across as someone who isn't comfortable in his own skin. Nakamura may indeed be exactly what he needs.

I just can't accept the notion that middle schoolers can be deviants inherently. Nakamura may have grown up in an unloving environment (I'm assuming), not so much the case with Kasuga. It seems like the one thing that may have tilted the pair to go down the path of deviants is the lifeless, colorless boredom their city offers. Sounds like a story one would write in seventies Japan. The characters are based on old-fashioned concepts that I don't think fit the current zeitgeist.

This was just too much, I feel sorry for Kasuga...that thing at the end of this episode was downright unbearable to watch. I don't think I can find any pleasure in this. Of course, this anime is all about the complete opposite of pleasure - some kind of grotesque, disgusting feeling of unease. And I simply don't feel like subjecting myself to that feeling any longer.
Burn in hell Nakamura, you damn creep. |
