If I'm not reading this wrongly, [Rainbow Spectrum: Colors], the art-book from the Illustrator of the Toaru Novels would be out on the Feb 28th (aka. next week).
Some sample art Spoiler for RailDex:
Spoiler for Black and White:
But most importantly, this is an interview with Kazuma Kamachi (Author) and Haimura Kiyotaka (Illustrator) ! Anybody would be so kind as to translate it ?

EDIT: the beginning of the interview is: Kamachi: I know I'm going fast, but why did you think about releasing your artbook with this timing? Haimura: In fact, when I see my friends & family, they always try to persuade me, you know. Kamachi: So that means you never really wanted to release it? Haimura: To begin with, I didn't want to see it (?) [laughther]. Besides, to sum up, the drawings I've been requested and drawn were basically, after being sent, considered as the companies' property. This complicated position doesn't really suit my work (not sure about these two). Could someone correct me? Thanks >> EDIT little question: I'd like to buy rainbow spectrum:colors, is cd-japan a good site? Anyone got other places where to buy? Thanks again Last edited by bizzi; 2011-02-21 at 18:51. |

It's conversation form and too long. This is a summary. 1. Haimura, illustrator of this LN, had no intention to release his art book in the first place but he was persuaded by his old friend after all. 2. Haimura prefers the short-haired girl and if there isn't direction about an appearances of new character particularly, he draws short-haired girl in most cases. Also Itsuwa and Orsora's appearances were decided by Haimura independently. 3. Haimura flatter himself that Sheryl Cromwell as a frontispiece of vol6 was his best work. 4. Haimura was weak in robot, powered suit genre. So he bought a book of robotics to study. 5. Kamachi : "the title changes in the following volume (Vol.7)." "it will become 'the New Testament + title'" |

...In many ways Haimura likes short haired girls? That's something to remember... I hope Index don't get a plot-hair-cut... Quote:
Haimura needs better machine designs... Maybe get some from Infinite Stratos ? Quote:
Cause 7 is a LONG way in the other direction....
