Fullmetal Alchemist Ed2 is fitting but Ed1 is more of the exact sentiments of the brothers; especially edward
I think Midori no hibi's Ed2 is great as well, well maybe because i'm really hooked onto the song, but it seem v. appropriate to me! Naruto - Wind Condor Hero - Yuu Couldn't be asked to type, basically the rest represent (well my interpretation) the thoughts of the main characters |

the opening song for Uninhabited Planet Survive is nice... I think it's called Bokura no Message by Kiroro... I think it suits that opening movie and the feel of the show very well... very nice and mellow track...

Gundam Wing Intro - I really hate this song, I really do. But it really fits greatly with what's happening on the screen. And, after about ten times of hearing it, it gets by unnoticable, and you don't get as irritated any longer, as you got in the beginning.
Naruto Ending - Wow... I love this song 'Wind'. The lyrics are really great and I love the butterfly thingy, and everything. It makes me remember old summers, and reminds me that summer is very near. |

Narutaru: The most inappropriate OP ever.
Shingetsutan Tsukihime OP: It reflected the vampire/romance/drama, plus the uber-deep plot. FMP: Fumoffu? OP: One of my favorite songs ever. The happiness it enshrouds captures the fun of the anime. Witch Hunter Robin OP/ED: The OP made a lot more sense as the series progressed. The ED was just beautiful and captured the emotion in the anime. |

The fourth ending of Hikaru no Go; Days. It matches the mood of the anime perfectly during the episodes of which it's run. Especially towards the end. I feel almost all of the Hikaru no Go songs fit very well, but this one in particular.

Since this thread has already been dutifully bumped, I might as well add my own picks to the mix. Off the top of my head...
Kimi ga Nozomu Eien - ED2 (Hoshi no Waltz) Using Haruka's Character song here was a brilliant choice. It really captures Haruka's character wonderfully, and matched the scene shown perfectly. Kanon - OP (Florescense) Somehow it really captures the feel of the series - beautiful and sad. Listening to it brings back memories. Midori no Hibi - ED (Mou Sukoshi... Mou Sukoshi...) Great words and fitting imagery make this the perfect choice, not to mention it's catchy. Onegai Twins - OP and ED (Second Flight and Asu e no Namida) I can see that some people might not like the songs, but the topic is about most fitting OP/ED - and these definitely fit the show. Follows in the style of Onegai Teacher, but manages to exceed it handily. I also love the Onegai-series style of blending in the OP into the start of the show - worked really well here. Da Capo - ED2 (Sonzai) Capture the sad feel of the final episodes very well. Also agree about Tsukihime (OP and ED) and Ai Yori Aoshi (OP). There's really two kinds of OP/EDs: ones that you immediately connect with the show the first time you see it, and ones that you get used to after hearing it a few times. I think when we're looking for the most fitting OPs and EDs, we're definitely looking for things in the first category. |

Fullmetal Alchemist because most of the song and words are what ed and al are going through now or went though and it really matches the anime...i would have to say most of the OP and ED match...yea....so i can't choose..but i do like the new OP and ED...
I would say more anime shows but i dun mostly remember them...=P |

The OP and ED for Midori no Hibi. Both were written with the show in mind, so they're an obvious match. Not to mention that they both very nice songs and they match their respective animations. (e.g. "karakara mau" is sung as the spinny wheels are shown, and karakara is the sound of spinny wheels spinning)
That's the only pairing I can think of that well-suits its show. -- I look at all the responses and wonder how many of the respondents know enough Japanese to actually judge how good a song's lyrics are... |
