A very nice find.
I've been hearing some buzz that a season 2 might be in the works. Does that have any bearing in reality, or is that just wishful thinking from the fan-base? I would love to have a 2nd season personally, based around the internationals coming up next year. Forcing Miho, Maho, and Erika to work together as a team might breathe some intellectual life to the stagnant Nishizumi-ryu, which has been sitting on Guderian's (Manstein's, rather) tactical/operational laurels instead of being true pioneers of their own style. Miho is a closer disciple of the great panzer man than the Black Forest Academy is in this regard. |

A second season only exists as a rumor, and I doubt we'll hear more about it until the last two episodes are aired. Right now, the Blu-rays are selling so well that they're still out of stock. Retailers are gearing up for the third print run, and nobody knows if that's enough to satisfy the demand. Given that sales are wildly exceeding expectations, a sequel seems like a shoo-in.

Not by the blog's estimations: given that the Ooarai carrier is 7.6 km long, anything 3 times bigger would be 22.8 km long. The St. Gloriana vessel is stated to be 13.7 km long (1.8 times longer), and the Pravda vessel is 15.3 km in length (2.01 times longer). Because of the more precise methodology used, I'm inclined to say that the '3 times' figures are probably unreliable. I apologise for bringing this up, but the numbers were bothering me somewhat

Still it's a shame because everything else seems so plausible and clearly understandable by what we see on screen. This is the single case where I wish they'd directed the action differently. If they needed to explain how some hits can fail to penetrate I wish they'd been shot by a tank with a weaker gun!

I've been hearing some news about the final episode being aired on March 23. Which... seems so very far away
And I'm still waiting on whatever clips from episode 11 they showed on the Girls Und Panzer Carnival today

By the way, if the show didn't get this popular, I don't think they will even dare to do this at all Also, the third OVA was annoced: Hot Spring War I wonder which team will get a spotlight this time.
