Depends on how the character develops. The see-saw type of characters tend to lose popularity due to frustration of the audience. Eba was popular because of her straight forwardness, but her behavior as of late is frustrating for the sake of drama.

Eba better have some major improvement over her attitude to make up for the Akari fest.

The Akari kiss came out of nowhere. Had no idea she felt that way. At least Kallen had development toward the main character and kiss teases throughout Code Geass. Not that similar in my opinion.

That is true. Yuzuki was straight forward and we all knew where she was, but now...well, it's all up in the air.

Had plenty of hints throughout the series that Kallen had feelings for Lelouch. It wasn't that big of a surprise that she kissed him like that.

Staying on topic...Akari's feelings towards Haruto have always been platonic. She liked Nanami's older brother after all. Hey, she must really not like Yuzuki. Taking two guys away from her, in a sense.

I think you're misunderstanding.

It's similar in that the author is pulling everything a romance pairing should do and does, and instead goes the other way.

Like have sex, get married, have a kid, then go for that girl you remembered years ago. (or get stabbed by Suzaku's giant-)

interesting half chapter, but i have no idea why they didn't just incorporate that into the regular chapters. i remember skipping the panels on their 'old stories/memories' because honestly it's a waste of a read, the reader should already know the mood

I still dont know why guys in manga think they are so cool when they beat up a girl. Fact is if that guys brother wasnt such pus Akari wouldnt have pwned in the sumo match anyway. I hate violence against woman its pet peeve of mine even in anime and manga.

Regardless it was a nice half chapter i liked seeing how the trio started out. Especially since Akari mentioned in the previous chapter she thought the 2 hated her.
