I do see a Witch Hunter from that image... Or thats from my view. Who knows, we might actually see one in the game, but that would be way too surprising and unexpected that its probably not going to happen. But then again I've seen alot of Witch Hunterish looking images from Retribution.

Eeerhm Inquisitor Witch Hunters are already confirmed to be in the game, as hero units attached to the Imperial Guard. Besides, the entire boxart very clearly features one: why would they add a unit they have no intention of portraying in the game?

So the packs still contain the original Retribution game, just special features for the race in which you dedicate your money in? That's actually a smart idea, better get deciding on which race you want to support

That's easy, just buy the Imperial Guard.

Then go and buy all other copies and burn them in a great fire for being xenos/heretic scum.

You accuse the Space Marines of being heretics? How could you!

Bah half of them turned against our mighty God Emperor a millenia ago. It is the Imperial Guard that makes the Imperium endure.

Oh, it was a LOT longer than one millenia ago. Besides, there were plenty of traitor Guard as well! Hammer of the Emperor, to be sure, but hey who are the Bulwark against the Terror, the Defenders of Humanity? Yeah thought so :P now you go back and play toy soldiers and leave the real fighting to the real men <3

Space Marines take longer to convert to heresy then Imperial Guardsmens... Its just that Chaos loves the Space Marines and doesn't like that Imperial Guard so they are less-effected.

And any Space Marines that get converted into Chaos would last longer in combat than converted Guardsmen anyway

Edit:

New screenshots:

Eliphas looks freaking pimping there, very good considering this is the first time you can command him in SP since Dark Crusade. That shot of the Sentinel and Shocktroopers (?) against the Tyranid swarm though... such heroes ;-; We also get a first look at that IG Commissar... time to execute some cowards for the Imperiu- *shot*

I always wanted to play Eliphas again ever since the Dark Crusade, and now is the chance to do it We also get the old-fasioned Commissar that executes cowards in order to set an example? Wonder how that will play out here maybe the Guardsmen will cost so little that its very replaceable.

While I'm quite happy that Eliphas made his comeback in Chaos Rising and is now playable, I still miss the most awesome warboss in whole 40k.

Where is Gorgutz 'Ead 'Unter damnit! >.<

I missed Gorgutz's voice when I played Soulstorm.. Winter Assault-Dark Crusade were probably the only real expansions that I would have played. Of course many people think this as well. But it would be good to see Gorgutz again! But this is a new Dawn of War 2 and Eliphas was introduced in Chaos Rising right? So were probably not going to be expecting our good old warboss soon. He's been in enough expansions or that's how people see it.

When you say Shogun 2 you mean the new Creative Assembly Shogun Total War 2 that's coming out soon? Or some other Shogun 2? Either way its a hard decision, but I'm an old fan of the Total War franchise so I'll be getting Shogun Total War 2 first then buy Retribution in the future.

Yes but Eliphas was introduced together with Davian Thule in Dark Crusade, he only returned in Chaos Rising because of his popularity among fans (as he was the only Chaos Lord in the DoW franchise who had a brain).
They even went trough all the trouble and actually ressurected him from the dead.

That makes Gorgutz' return actually even more likely as he's still alive and is quit popular (Well, the same with Farseer Macha but that's only because of the meme i think ).

...

And I'm still for the Unyuufex as Tyranid hero.

To the best of my knowledge, there is only one "Shogun 2" that is only releasing in the same period as Retribution.

I'm sure Shogun 2 will be better than Retribution in several aspects, but the hardware requirements to run it in a acceptable level is a bit of a turn off.

DoW2 and CR runs smoothly with almost everything max out on the current rig I had. But I'm not too sure if the machine will be able to handle Shogun 2 at mid levels.

That's what I'm worried about right now is the computer requirements for Shogun II will be a little too much for my computer..
