You could even draw a parallel between this story and Othinus's arc.

I think the part where you have supposedly "big bads with plans" but they're just a distraction for the true boss behind all. The difference is that this story is a SS and Gremlin is a novel arc.

I agree about NT8 btw.

volume as the NT 5 and 8 serve only to prepare the room for the next volume, as well as the vol 12 and 17 of the Old Testament. I mean, When an arc is terminated and if it is good, almost nobody takes these kind volumes into account.

Anyway, I started reading the SS, and now I'm sad that Itsuwa not appear in the NT.

Really? this is a mediocre score for what is considered for many as the best book of the NT and one of the best of the entire franchise. you reread the fight? I ask this because you have shown in the past that had misunderstanding scenes in this volume, and rereading helps to understand them better, I say this because both of us are not fluent in English, then reread it is good to understand better. Now if your problem is solely because of Touma, and only that, then ..................... whatever.

anyway, this're already turning off-topic, I'll be back later that finish the SS.

Here's a list of all the times AC came under threat. This is only counting events where AC was specifically under attack and not events like Angel Fall in Volume 4 where the whole world was at risk.

Main Story:

Volume 9-10: Attempted takeover by St. Peter's Cross.

Volume NT2: Threat of collision with Radiosonde Castle.

Side Stories:

Railgun SS2 - Shopping Mall Demonstration: Nuclear weapons sneaked into AC.

Railgun:

Railgun S Fillers: Threat from AIM bomb launched from Endymion.

Volume 10: Misaka 5.5 conjures some kind of Black Energy that threatens to wipe off AC from the map and then some.

Videogame: Hikoboshi II fires the Magnetic Debris Cannon at AC.

That's 6 times AC has been threatened in less than a year. Depending on how you view certain events, such as AIM Burst attacking a nuclear power plant, that number might be higher. Plus, I might be missing one or two events here and there. Finally, the series isn't over yet, so the number will increase over time.

So yeah, for all that it is the center of the Science side, or perhaps because it is, AC is one of the least safe places on the planet, it seems. I don't think even war torn countries face threats of annihilation as often as AC does. Necessarius SS puts this into perspective by showing us that London isn't much better off.

Than it is my fault, i thought they said it, maybe as gunhas or mikotis inner monologue or genseis seems like i remembered wrong.....

but their was two other times: accels plasma bomb (im not sure, ws it powerful enough to destroy AC?)
and accels kinetic bomb (mmmhhh, this wouldnt count since it was a 10x world-destroying attack)
