You know what amuses me? Last night a few Linux loving friends and I were trading e-mails about Microsoft Australia referencing Fifty Shades of Grey in its TryIE campaign, and I commented I found the pop culture referencing in the campaign cringeworthy. Then wondered if we might ever get some marketing more to my tastes, and noted that there was no official IE-tan to compliment Microsoft Japan's Madobe Nanami (the official Windows 7-tan) and Madobe Ai and Madobe Yuu (the official Windows 8-tans). Today I woke up and found out about this video being released.

At the end of the day, I'm saying that Internet Explorer and its marketing campaign is bad period. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yeMPbUYJCA0 Inori here seems a bit different from the mascots Microsoft Japan has put out... the Japanese ones seem mainly intended to move special editions of Microsoft software. Hell, Microsoft Japan has shipped a moe figure with a copy of Visual Studio 2010 (programming software) before. Edit: Also, here's Inori's cousin, Aizawa Hikaru, created by Microsoft Taiwan to promote Silverlight. I know less about the Taiwanese Microsoft characters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j49w6QsC1w And with a bit more digging, Claudia Madobe, Microsoft Japan's mascot for Windows Azure. She's the one who had a figure shipped with Visual Studio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tQNjAw7PjU

just realized that the http://www.internetexplorertan.com/home page will redirect you to a crying Inori Aizawa if you open the page with anything other than IE.

I think she is a B-cup, around 45kg.
Forced restart. What else? Of course, being the nice guy I am I'll start her up in Safe Mode. I will probably browse her for more details. Then I'll remove all security protocols then try a dynamic link library injection - *IS DIGITISED*

Why they're dropping thousands of dollars to convert one guy is another question. And yes, there are many [ignorant] people actually think anime (and many things asian) come from China.[/QUOTE] OT: You heard about the Girls Generation thing? |

Guys, just a note here -
Singapore is well known for it inherent lack of creativity when it comes to marketing, whether it be private or corporate. We are like a mini-China when it comes to brands and products; bad copies everywhere to the extent of lameness. We have nothing unique, so forgive us if that mascot looks retarded. EDIT : You guys on the internet are terrible :

Well that was mind numbingly idiotic. The only positive thing I can take from that is that since most everything that Microsoft does is regarded as uncool, maybe they'll manage to kill the moe-craze. If so, thank you MS, thank you.
