P.S. I don't know why, but based on the anger-from-your-disgraceful-actions look on Imagawa's face makes me enjoy Imagawa's bitchslap to Nobuna a lot more...

Akuma is a translator my friend, he is the one translating Oda Nobuna no Yabou. Also, everyone please don't ask the translations to hurry up, it will annoy Akuma. It is the reason why he quit translating High School DXD because people were asking him constantly when is the next update. Please don't do that, let the translations come gradually.

Not to mention you can't tell if the narrative is 1st or 3rd person some of the times, in DxD it was always 1st person. Maybe he will get better with the later volumes.

Well I haven't been asked for translations to be hurried up yet, and I will ignore them if they come, though I had prefer if some of the more annoying bunch of DxD fans don't jump over here as well, including this thread. (I am pretty sure they know who they are, the ones who trashed the DxD thread with chats 24x7.)

If we use history as bases on how likely a character dies (or appear dead) here is the fate of most cast. I'm excluding people like Dousan, Imagawa and Tokugawa, Hanzo, and the likes who we already knew their supposed fate.

Spoiler for Historical Fate::

Maeda Inuchiyo (Maeda Toshiie) => Became second most powerful Daimyo, live past Hideyoshi. Leaves Kaga Million Koku success story.

Takenaka Hanbei (Takenaka Shigeharu)=> Died during campaign against Mori due to illness (believe to be either pneumonia or tuberculosis)

Hachisuka Goemon (As Hachisuka Masakatsu/Koroku)=>Lived until Osaka castle was built, died of old age at 61

Hachisuka Goemon (As Ichikawa Geomon)=>Captured by Hideyoshi and boiled to death in a oil pot publicly, after Nobunaga's death.

Nagahide Niwa (Nagahide Niwa)=>Died due to stomach cancer in 1585 after Battle of Shizugatake. Another saying was that he committed seppuku/suicide after he regretted supporting Hideyoshi in Kiyosu Conference and Battle of Shizugatake which resulted in Hideyoshi rise to power and eliminating many old Oda retainers.

Shibata Katsue (Shibata Katsue)=>Commited seppuku/suicide with Oichi after Battle of Shizugatake.

Nene=>Died of old age, lived past Hideyoshi.

Mitsuhide Jubei (Mitsuhide Akechi)=>Caused Honnōji incident, 13 days later lost to Hideyoshi during Battle of Yamazaki, killed by peasants during escape.

Tsuda Nobusumi=> Executed after Honnōji incident by Oda Nobutaka (Nogunaga's 3rd son, Nobusumi'scousin) as a safty precaution due to Nobusumi also being Mituhide's son-in-law.

Date Masamune=> Lived well into Tokugawa Shogunate, died of old age (70) due to esophageal cancer.

Matsunaga Hisahide=> Committed suicide by blowing up his castle, after refused to surrender in a failed rebellion against Nobunaga.

Don Simeon (bapitized name for Kuroda Yoshitaka)=> Similar to Hanbei, officially Oda retainer, but serves directly under Hideyoshi, Hanbei's successor, entrusted Kyushu Region by Hideyoshi. Was originally planned on taking advantage of Battle of Sekigahara to reach Kyoto and Sieze power but gave up on the plan after the battle ended earlier than he anticipated. Kept majority of his land, died of old age.

Luís Fróis => Died a year before Hideyoshi's death, of old age at 65.

Sen no Rikyu => Tea master, Executed by Hideyoshi for reason unknown. Did live a long life until he was 69 though.

My process for figuring out who's who:
Since Japanese names use kanji, which are the same as Chinese characters, those characters are what are used in Chinese translations. What I end up doing is google the characters that make up their names, which generally gets me a Chinese site about Japanese historical figures. I'd then put that site through google translate, and hope that a decent romaji version of said name shows up. Finally, I'd google said name (or wiki search it), and hope that a result shows up.

So yeah, half the time I have no idea who the heck most of these people are, especially if it's a volume where they're just introduced... Thankfully, I have you guys and the anime to help me match names to actions, so I'm at least somewhat confident on my ability to figure out the identity of the major characters.

An easier way for me is just use Wiki for the name translation. On the left side frame the wiki has links to same topic (or people) from others in different languages. Great tool when I need to cross-examining some information or get a clear up on events and translations.
