I don't think its necessary to be rude. I know how businesses work, you just said they make 160 million a month while only having to pay 400 million, which isn't true. Next time be more specific about what you mean.
Anyway the wait for the game to come out is getting to me, I really want to play the campaign...

Relating to Battlecruisers, the ship itself is not a bad unit; what make it's hardly used is the difficulty of transition to BCs. If you are ahead of your opponent for quite a bit, then you can try transitioning to BCs, which will make it a very powerful support for your army.
On another note, because the game itself need to cater all type of players, including casuals; there will always be some units that are less useful in competitive level but more fun in playing with friends. BCs (and also other giant units) could fall into this category.

Personally, playing as Terran i find that it helps a lot to have a good mix of all types of units instead of just massing 2 or 3 types.
Vikings are great anti air and drone haressment unit while Banshee is powerful winner if your opponent doesnt have detection and a great air to ground support unit when you can't do cloak haressment. BCs are the flying Thors in terms of versatility and staying power while Yamato Cannon is always nice to use when u want key units down quickly. Having one or two for the cannon escorting your mainforce in my view is a more effective fighting force than just massing it alone. So far, i think the Ultralisk is the biggest disappointment for me in terms of top end units followed by Carrier where else Colossus, Thor and Brood Lord seems to be solid in their respective role.

I feel that Ultralisk is a lot better after the recent patch(es). It's not a game winning unit by itself but with recent nerf of Siege Tank and buff to Ultralisk's speed, it could be used as a spear head for your army quite effectively against mech play, especially those with out skill upgrade Thor. It still need to be in number and support from other units though.

Edit: (Talking about SC1. Aside from the buildtime decrease from 17 to 12 seconds, I don't think it's widely used at all). Last edited by Who; 2010-06-10 at 14:46. |

not since the AI was revamped for less stacking units in SC2, the aoe range they have is mini also. With Colossus and warp gate High Templar storm they've become pretty much obsolete outside of finding some use out of HT that have no mana.
