The synchronization of movement and power between two people's minds in one body. When ultimate form happens, sync goes over what should be possible and the physical data and mental data mix to create a new body. :O

I remember my idea of over 100% sync... the IS turned the pilot into an equalizer =))

That or the IS became part human. Either way it was a creepy mutant mecha musume thing going on

Actually the original idea was a sword that spontaneously combusted without burning out the metal. The best idea was that the metal would become the catalyst. Oxygen makes up 21% of the atmosphere but I need a hydrocarbon to burn. I haven't checked what napalm's chemical composition is yet but trinitroglycerine or TNT is formed from an aromatic which is a hydrocarbon. So in general CO2 does not make for good fuel and standard CO is not efficient. Take into account that all other gas in normal atmosphere equates to trace amounts and then I have no idea where to get fuel.

At best the blade can probably oxidize normally inert nitrogen into NOx which is usually toxic and results in nitrates and ground acid. Then continues on to ozone byproduct @_@

Try N2O

Put your enemies to sleep or paralysis (given enough time, would be a lot of time actually) if the barrier don't work, and then you'll banned for life from anything related I.S., and someone will press charge you for misuse of medical anesthetic, and military trial for use of chemical attack.

But I'd need to react oxygen with ammonia. And that's the only route that directly uses O2. everything else uses some sort of nitrate. Even if the reaction did occur by the blade, it would be too diluted in other Nitrogen products.

Canonically, C is the lowest rank mentioned (possibly the minimum level required to pilot reliably), but I have two version, one of which extend to F- and S+ only for the sake of measurement.

And to hell with it. I'ma just say that N2 makes for decent enough fuel with trace hydrocarbons as good kickstarter

X by Athena-verse would represent undeterminable Sync ratio. While it can represent ratios beyond S... it can also represent terribad ratio way below C.

Houki is technically an X-rank in Athena but even that was brief and off-screen, when she transitioned from the Uchigane to the Akatsubaki. After that she achieves an S rank as per canon.

Ratio fluctuations prevent the system from getting a determined rank. Needless to say, either you think/fidget too much during the scan and you'll land an X in your record.

Athena-verse however, treats the other enrolled students as mentally stable so no one has ever gotten an X in official records. Even Houki doesn't count since Ms Who Must Not Be Named would have wiped out the records of Houki's transition to her personal IS.
