What is Code geass originated from?

I know there are many adaptations from the anime but what is Code geass originated from?

Is it a manga? Novel ? or a game?

Or is it just simply original story and the anime is being prdouced as the story is being told.


And Also,

Is the ending of code geass known? I mean like How the ending of death note was known from manga, is the code geass in the same scenario? Or no one knows the ending ( beside the anime creators ofcourse).


P.S. I am not asking for what the ending is btw.

It's an original story. All the manga, novels, games, etc. are based on the anime. (loosely... >_>)

Code Geass is an original story that was not based off anything. That's one of the reasons Code Geass has such a high reception. It is difficult to have an idea and execute it in anime. Although anime such as Death Note was a great anime, because it was based off the manga, the only job that was needed was the animation process.

That being said, the ending is unknown to the public.

Original story like the two above already said, but geass does show a lot of taints from Norse mythology =x

Wel, there are references to many mythologies like the Arthur legends. I haven't seen much to indicate that any one mythology takes precedence in the story.

In Turn 1, Suzaku, with Anya and Gino by his side, said that he will kill Zero. That should imply that they were aware that Zero had awakened and Zero is alive.
However in Turn 2, Suzaku looked shocked/surprised when Zero appeared for his speech on screen and Gino was asking him if that Zero was fake and wasn't Zero dead?

Why is Gino asking such a question when he should already know that?

nice observance, it wasn't explained why the two situations were like that but my guess would be that the part in R1 happened in the future after they heard Zero's speeuch on the news, that is the only explainable thing

the situation in R1 then took place after R2

The scene at the end of turn 1 doesn't actually occur till some point in turn 3. It was just a slight of hand to properly set the mood.

Though then again Suzaku's surprise in turn 2 is rather interesting, as he had been told by the Emperor someone had taken the bait in Area 11. >_>

at what year did Elizabeth or aroudn what era did she go to what we know as America?
I'm confussed not as to what Queen Elizabeth people are talking about o.o

She was around during the time of Washington's Rebellion and Napolean, so the 1700's.

We're talking about Elizabeth III, who is someone new in the CG timeline.

1. Elizabeth III and her followers established a capital on the east coast of the new continent.
2. Elizabeth III died without leaving any heirs; she was supposed to have chosen her successor from one of her blood relations, but on her dying bed she nominated her lover, Ricardo Van Britannia I instead. She is therefore famous for being "The Queen who loved throughout her stormy life."

If we are talking about revolutionary and napoleonic times, that would encompass late XVIIIth to early XIXth century.
