Though it does remind me of japanese movies such as Tokyo Sonata.

Maybe it's just my twisted taste but there's absolutely nothing wrong with any of them. Most people are not models and idols. |

Any, they could at least make them prettier... but doesn't mean they have to be with big eyes and moe like the usual anime... |

The characters still look pretty when they need to be (the girl with the long hair). They just don't look pretty when they don't need to be. |

Evangelion did the same with Bart Howard's 'Fly Me to the Moon' in 1995. More recently JoJo's Bizzarre Adventure has done the same with Yes' 'Roundabout' (and to its credit suits the anime very well). |

They will probably be pitifully low. It's a fact that niche/mature/non-moe anime series like this don't sell at all.
The fact that people like Masaaki Yuasa can't get a TV series greenlighted anymore and are forced to resort to Kickstarter should give you an idea of how well-received by the average anime viewer this kind of series are. Last edited by neshru; 2013-04-10 at 05:51. |

The Faces Behind "Flowers of Evil"
So they used the actual VAs as the models for the characters......yet they don't look like their real life counterparts.
