Episode 14
Niizuma was acting kinda strange. Maybe that's his way of inspiring Ashirogi Muto to work hard, or not. Nakai working hard... well, not on his diet LOL Niizuma wants to end Crow. Like wtf?! That was a total surprise! At the same time it's a good incentive for others to stop him by taking 1st place. Things are getting interesting again!

Final Page 12: Hot Bloodedness and Utter Defeat
Finally, I completed the halfway point, and it looks like they changed the order of events right after the end of Nanamine Tooru's arc.
In summary, this episode was 2/3 thirds about Nanamine and his complete loss. You know how would have been the best way to witness Nanamine in full psychotic glory is if his rank had fallen into the 30's or 40's digits in the survey polls and found out only one person voted for "What is Required"; imagine that. It would have been awesome to see that hypothetical scenario. |

Godammit JC Staff you lazy bastards. Could you have made the final OP/ED sequences any duller!? This is Hyadain x Base Ball Bear and JAM Project (though admittedly their song was a slow one) here, how can you not make good use of the songs!?

I also felt they could have done a better job with the OP/ED sequences. I didn't particularly dislike them, they were alright, but it just didn't give me that sort of 'Bakuman feel' that the other seasons left behind. If I had to choose I would say the opening left more of an impact. Although Hyadain and JAM Project doing the OP/ED for this series still throws me off.

Final Page 13: Imitation and Subconscious
The bank robbery affected Takagi's mental health to the point that he subconsciously blocked his inspiration at writing, nearly causing PCP's serialization at Jack.
Fortunately, Mashiro got an epiphany from his phone conversation with Kaya and shared it right away to Takagi. Basing their next story upon a copycat criminal going beyond the line commiting crimes that the PCP team's morally will never allowed themselves to go far; that's how they turned the tables against the scandal of the real crime. |

The Crow ending arc was much more sensibly paced than the previous ones, covering only two manga chapters per episode. While it was nice that they didn't rush through one of the best arcs in the manga, it got me worried that they only had 9 more episodes to cover the remaining 37 chapters.
However, judging by the episode 17 preview, it seems they're skipping the entire Shinjitsu Corporation arc (chapters 141-150), which means now they can keep covering 3 chapters per episode until the end. I can't say I'll miss that arc, since its only purpose was Spoiler for manga spoilers:
Now I'm looking forward to seeing how the last arcs will play out in the anime. Last edited by Uribatake; 2013-01-27 at 06:29. |

Iwase going through a crisis of her own..
An intervention was badly needed. Luckily others teamed up and led her towards the right path. Seems like there were some changes in the editorial department as well. Flashbacks were nice. Looks like both Niizuma and Ashirogi Muto are starting new manga. The interesting thing is they're having similar ideas. Both going for something different.

Final Page 15: Front and Center
The bets were thrown.
This episode went in a smooth sail without rushing too much on Fukuda, Takahama, and Ashirogi devising their ideas to surpass CROW one after the other. I do feel happy that the vote count is increasing for the manga done by each one of those three, but still Niizuma is skyrocketing forward. Takahama and Fukuda failed at 2nd place in the attempt to steal the spot from Niizuma, hence, all that is left is Ashirogi's color cover + trick strategy chapter to turn the tides. |

My question may have already been answered a lot, but since the thread is pretty big I do not want to search. As for the question, how closely does the anime follow the manga and is there any news that there will be more on the ending in the anime as to the manga?

As for the ending, we'll only know when the last episode airs in late March, but I don't think there will be room to add anything that wasn't in the manga. As of now, there are only 8 episodes left to cover the last 25 manga chapters. |
