It would have been good if any of those figures interested me. I have been tempted by Vivio but something about her face is scary.

I have been thinking about taking that Dio.

Because he is motherfucking Dio. He would look cool when posing by the side of his daughter Sakuya.

Cause no one makes big enough marbles to fit that in.

?o.O? Why do I buy artwork and hang it on my wall? Or keep souvenirs of good memories?

They're too damned expensive to "play with" and I'm not sure how I'd even do that.... nenderoids are a different matter - those are like G.I. Joe action figures where you can do dioramas and whatnot. I have my figures displayed in my office area and I look at them to improve my mood (until I realize the cat has re-arranged them or knocked one off the shelf... and then I stew on killing the cat or buying shelves with glass doors).

edit: I see a lot of posters had the same "ehhhhhhh?" response I had (just put in a pre-order for an EX gothic Kagami from Lucky Star).

I have hardly even touched my Fate T. Harlaown true sonic form figure from Alter, because it looks too nice for it. I simply have it as a nice room decoration.

Many people don't even take them out of their boxes just to keep them safe
Myself included.
GSC Tohsaka Rin is still in her box because I don't have a safe, dust-free place to display her yet

I guess that's why I have a hard time understanding them. They're so expensive and they sit there..I don't know, I'm not into collectable stuff in general though. Thanks for your feedback.

I display them all. I don't get collectors who don't. What's the point in having a gorgeous sculpture you can't admire?

Some I think see it as an investment. With the chance to make money on it later. Not a lot of money, but more than the cost to purchase it.

That or they buy more than one and store one until such time as the display one wares out or is damaged. If they do not and the item is limited, then they become the market for those that saved one from the previous paragraph, who can demand a high price for a mint rare item.

Figures that are "out of print" do often have resell value... but you just have to get the right passionate bidders going at auction

Typically, I've at least made my money back but usually have made 50% to 150% more. Currently, my only problem appears to be that we're *all* broke across the planet (none of the 1%ers seem to be anime fans)

And the bike will probably cost more than the figure itself
