Yeah, but they tend to say "I"m no hero" rather than "Mwahahahaha! I'm a bad guy bitches!". The only one who does that is Laharl.

@ Senpai - Squall at least seems affably evil, what with paying for Ichika's tuxedo and flower gift.

Yeah, but Squall is definitely just as dangerous if not more... cunning villain and all (plus she had Autumn's leash)

Hence Affably evil. Tabane counts as well. Would you believe this was the person who changed the social structure and revolutionized warfare because people laughed at her for a ridiculous premise when she had no proof?

?

I can't name any, but I'm pretty sure some characters have said lines in this exact wording:

"Me? I guess you could call me the bad guy."

They're basically the super gray dudes who can see in black and white just fine. They tend to see their acts as more of conflicting interests though they know that they're doing something fundamentally bad, like say killing someone and everyone who's stupid enough to stand in between.

Well, that line usually reserved for ANTI-Villain.

There's a difference when you call yourself that bitterly and between yukking it up and doing it casually.

Example: Assassins creed makes it clear that none of the characters think they're the good guys.

Example:

Desmond: Yeah, I'm just glad to be with the good guys.

Shaun: Yeah, right...."

Rebecca: What's that supposed to mean?

Shaun: In case you missed the memo, Rebecca, we're assassins. Know what that means? Yeah, it means we kill people for a living.

Contrast to Autumn's

Ichika: Who are you?

Autumn: Me? Well, I guess you can call me the bad guy.

It is more of Autumn's case in the one I mentioned. They aren't bitter about it. In fact, they're amused by it. It's more like good or bad doesn't really matter to them.

Actions matter more than words or their view on it.

Um... power maniac that went on a serial murdering spree just so he could test his newfound power. Goes on to knowingly kill other people by offering them powers that would eventually burn them out then proceed to take those powers for himself.

I'm not sure if he calls himself evil, but he calls himself a monster in both mind and body.

In urban combat/enclosed space, it can probably own a 3rd gen easy. IE Ichika

Otherwise it's a sitting duck whose only strength is that each of those arms can hold another gun. So it gives you a grand total of... 6 guns simultaneously firing?

Very strong in close combat and tight space, I'm sure it's not as good in open area though, judging from the armament.

@ Demi
I always assume those are light weapon, assuming the arms are thin enough to be folded.

SMG's I can only assume are the most efficient. Cannons and the like would probably require two arms. The way I envision the arachna is basically like a spider on the pilot's back. Though I forgot if there are actually 8 limbs or 4

Mentioned as energy cannon, so I assume it's a snub-nose particle weapon, probably about the size of human upper arm at most. Around that size, the weapon still considered compact for I.S., especially if compared to Cecilia's rifle (canonically, seven inch, larger than a tank cannon)

Output power doesn't seem too remarkable since collateral damage is not mentioned and Ichika is able to dodge the resulting explosion, probably comparable to an I.S. shotgun.

I'm just wondering how they're affording these things.

you say it yourself a lot. They don't IS use digital stuff after all. It's calibration that's annoying.

Though for initial development I wouldn't doubt they have a wealthy backer reaping from all the destruction they sow

Or they could just stole it, be it data or a whole unit.

Arachne is canonically American gen-2 unit after all. In fanon, it's based on Gun Wolf (Dan's I.S.), who has weapon racks instead of spider arms.
