Nah I still bet that it's something that Mana give him or both Mana and Inori.

Look the first phrase apparently was referring to what has happened now.
I mean they are in a ruined city so I really aspect tha Shu will talk with the true mana trought Inori and finally make peace with his past

I can be wrong ...but I really had this feeling.

Even if he a screwed up does not change the fact that he does not have to save anyone .
It does not change fact he gains nothing from doing it .

Actually it looks like he won't be doing much of anything but chilling with Inori and even if he did get his arm back the last thing he would do is get revenge

Episode 18 was interesting yet there was so much randomness.

Future prediction

Shu with a new found resolve at the end of episode 18 and fully being alone for the first time in while will attempt to finds allies to break into GHQ and free Inori and try to get a sense of what is really going on. I expect for him to team up with Tsugumi and Ayase again. I dont know if the next episode will be the power up but im sure it will becoming within at least 2 episodes. I just hope they wont do a hax job of planning this rescue but also it could be possible that Inori will breakout herself with help from someone on the inside.

Meanwhile on bad guy front. Im sure they will probably being using Inori for the same purpose as when they took her last time. Haruka will take the 3rd Genome for whatever reason and Neo Gai's purpose will be reveled.

At this point i think the UN is powerless after having the pacific fleet annihilated. I expect more Void users to die as Gai forces their Voids out and i fully expect to see Mana soon.

I saw the preview but they can be deceiving so i never fully trust them. I dont think its going to happen in episode 19 but probably around episode 20 or 21

I may actually change my opinion on Haruka, as there will be some background preview of her.
Then she steal 3rd void genome (for Shu) and Shu gets his hand back next episode (the light).
