For me the only reason (ok, two) why I watch this show is Yui and the plugsuits. Wish they'd combine those two again, but I guess her uniform is fine as well.
Some of the other girls look good, but nothing about them stands out to me. Perhaps hearing some fail Russian from Cryska could make me like her more as a fellow Slavic. I wish nationalities weren't so often an informed attribute in anime. Cryska should like, wear an ushanka and Inia's favorite toy should be a matryoshka, not a teddy bear. And Sharon should wear a US flag shirt and shout "In America!" after every sentence. YEAH! On second thought, maybe what they're doing now isn't so bad. My thoughts exactly . I really like her design though, even if those two massive hair clumps are a bit overdone. |

To be fair, Yui is a broken girl who's suffering from PTSD and is so used to life shitting on her that for the first time in a long time she's happy... and has completely forgotten what it is to be happy.
Not to mention that she's so self-repressed, due to her environment in Japan - but outside that environment, away from all the concentrated YAMATO DAMASHII in the Imperial Royal Guard, Yui's self is slowly crumbling, as she falls in love for the first time.... and has ZERO idea of what's going on and how to handle it.

The dere is strong in Yui. Very, very strong. Don't tell me all the tsun is washed away already? XD She is going to have a bit of a hard time dealing with Cui, for sure.
The end of episode 16 hints that Cryska is changing as well due to Yuuya's influence, I wonder how she'll act from now on? My guess is that she'll be very, very confused about a lot of things. |

Yuuya better watch his back... he may suddenly find traps everywhere, considering the TACTICAL GENIUS that Sandek is... To show Cryska the bad side of Yuuya... A bucket of whitewash balanced over a door. No toilet paper in the mens room. Wasabi powder in the soup. Thumbtacks in the TSF cockpit seat. A blocked waste tube in the pilot suit. A naked Inia in bed. What will he think of next?

Yuuya spots Integral Works. Opens up center fold to see the mechanical cut away of the Shiranui Type-94... Starts panting and going "Yes, Ohh yeah! Japanese Banzai!" Then looks up to see both Yui and Sharon staring at him. Cryska had collapsed on the other side of the wall from overwhelming mentor pressure.
